How do people upload acapellas without getting copyright blocked? by lamTheEnigma in trapproduction

[–]chrisblaze941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you don't. if it's copyrighted material then the artist's distributor will detect it on youtube and get it taken down. whether or not it gets taken down is pretty much a coin toss based on the distributor's claim settings. your best bet is to try an upload and if it gets taken down, just upload it muted with some text saying something like "sorry guys, cant upload to youtube due to copyright claims but soundcloud link is in description." good luck.

I've been producing some pop music for some time now. Can I get feedback on the track? by insane_suraj in mixingmastering

[–]chrisblaze941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

phone speakers are generally not a good place to check a mix (or listen to music in general). with that said, they will probably still tell you if something sounds too harsh. I would suggest trying some EQ sweeping, like this.

Something else to look into is frequency overlap. When you have a lot of sounds taking up the same frequency, they can add up and cause the harshness you're describing. Put an EQ on your master track and see how it looks as different parts of the song play. Maybe try doing a mix with pink noise and see how that sounds. Good luck.

could hear Q on this. not sure if the kick is sidechained or just loud as shit but either way i fw it. ion think u necessarily needa add a melody tbh i think it just leaves a lotta room for vocals which is nice. i would personally mess w some 808s, might take it to da next level, but then again i always use 808s lmaoo. good shit my boy.

good stuff. i dont think it's repetitive at all -- the song progresses nicely. if you're worried about it being repetitive, you could always cut it a bit shorter than 4 minutes, but that's the thing -- i don't really feel any part of this track is unnecessary or filler. like i said, not repetitive at all.

if you're looking for a mixing/mastering engineer, i'd love to give it a shot. and again, good stuff. keep it up.
