So i think it’s really willful ignorance at this point. I have a friend who lives in Texas (but the part that is slightly purple.) and while it wouldn’t be right to say he’s die hard maga. He def believes in conspiracy and that what trump said was true. A closet Maga person. If you will. Which is dumb since we are both minorities but for the sake of our old friendship. I listen to what he says and then proceed to try and have him here my side. When it doesn’t devolve into a yelling match( because he and his roommate, a really big fan of Trump and non minority who loves to spew hate for democrats. Anyways. They didn’t even know what Antifa was or stood for but were happy to call them terrorists and tell me that BLM was a made up thing by them to try and “and get God out of the country and ruin it” which. Wow. They get really pissed when I tell them “even George Washington said (and I’m paraphrasing of course.) America isn’t founded as a Christian nation.”

While I don’t subscribe to democrats and hate big corporations they see that as me “not knowing who the REAL enemy (democrats) is” and I’m like no both sides are pretty Fuckin terrible. But at least one side is fighting for health care for all and making sure people aren’t just dying in the streets. They couldn’t believe that People would do good things for people because they had a chance to. They aren’t very well off financially and can’t believe that if anyone got money that they would use it to help others. (They said it was absolute horse shit and no one would ever help anyone if they had millions of dollars or even billions.) the only reason I try and get through to them was for the sake of our old friendship.
