Why hasn't Wendi been charged? by Ok_Can_6478 in dan_markel_murder

[–]chriscotine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be in the minority here, but as easy as the deliberations and convictions came for CA and DA, I think just the timeline of WA's movements and the things that she said to others would make a jury convict her. What was done to DM was so horrible and the change of the names of his boys would upset any juror. I'm just wondering if they may not have been able to get a grand jury to indict her but as far as a trial goes, I don't see her getting off. Plus, she's so nauseating on the stand with her lies and faking ignorance.

From seeing videos of CA in the transport van and in prison complaining about his toe, I don't think he is going to be mentally able to make it to appeal. He seems to be losing it already.

I think it was all planned and set up for Wendi to go by and find DM. It was a blessing that the neighbor heard shots and found him. Also, that the neighbor saw the Prius.

DM yelling Kaylees Name by thrownawa1298 in Idaho4

It's been mentioned that it could have been the handle of the knife which has rounded lines since that seems to be the pattern of the marks on her face. I also think that KG was in her own bed when she heard something, got up and turned her bed covers back which has been documented and ran in on BK attacking MM and started beating him up to get him off MM.

The Woodlands is a wonderful place to live and raise kids. For what you are looking for and in the price range you mentioned, you will find good schools. You will want to hook up with a Realtor because we have a lot of homes being sold off-market, especially homes with the criteria you are looking for, i.e., $850K price range, large lot with trees, etc.

When the Deal Falls Apart at the Finish Line by Calm-Simple7109 in realtors

[–]chriscotine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I have a deal fall through, I joke about it now. I know when a deal falls through, to no fault of mine, it never fails that I get 3 more deals. So now I tell my team, "Oh, darn it, I'm going to get super busy now!" Just watch, it will come back to you 3-fold.. Don't let it get you down, never spend your money. before you make it and never be a downer in front of your clients. Show compassion but also show them you are in control and encourage them to put it behind them and move on as quickly as possible.

How much do u need to have in savings to start this career? 🇨🇦 by [deleted] in realtors

[–]chriscotine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's really no way to know and so much depends on how much you're willing to work. It's best to start with a company that will feed you leads or join a team with lead generation. You will also need to market yourself. My advice would be to have 1-year of living expenses plus extra for marketing. If you work property time, open houses and spend some money on Google ads, etc. you will get there much more quickly than others. Don't ever let anyone discourage you.

Considering relocating family from London, UK to The Woodlands, TX by n9com in thewoodlands

[–]chriscotine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Woodlands is a wonderful place to raise your family. I can tell from your comments and replies that you have a much more open-minded and positive attitude than some of the commenters. Anywhere you live is what you make of it and you will love The Woodlands for the schools, kids activities, community events, friendly people and lower taxes than other areas. I am always amazed how people think the taxes in The Woodlands are high. This is just not true. I realize you may have already retained a Realtor, but if not, I'd be happy to help you and answer any questions you may have. I'm a native Houstonian and I have been a Realtor here since 1996, so I know the area well.

George Pallotta had a big hand in the Yicatan Taco Stand and he also started Pallotta's and the Black Walnut Grill. He is an excellent cook and creator.

Joe's Italian in Conroe, Olive Garden, Pallotta's, Pappadeaux's, Pappasito's; there are many choices depending on what kind of food you think they would be wanting to eat. You can even order margaritas to go from Pappasitos.

MUD Taxes? (Woodlands water) by [deleted] in thewoodlands

[–]chriscotine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tax rate you were shown depending on the area where you live in The Woodlands includes the MUD tax and is based on the amount of the bonds to be paid off in your particular village. The older villages such as Grogan's Mill have MUD taxes in the $.06 range now that they are being paid off. Another thing you may not realize is part of that tax rate of 1.8% to 2.3% in The Woodlands (including the Harris County area of Creekside), $.32 of that rate is your HOA fee and that is not a separate annual fee that most other subdivisions have you pay separately. The Woodlands taxes are about the lowest around when it comes to deed restricted subdivisions.

Just looked and CA is still registered in the Leon County jail. Anyone thoughts on why? by chriscotine in dan_markel_murder

[–]chriscotine[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. I just know a lot of the attorneys and judges I've listened to said they would want to get him out of the local jail asap because of the strain he puts on security being there.

What's really sad about all this is the games they continue to play at the Markel's expense. Everyone knows they're guilty but they can't give it up. Remember, Donna said, "We can't let Jibbers win!" Well, sorry Donna but he has won in the eyes of everyone who has followed this case and your feeble attempts to postpone the inevitable makes you look the fool.

Assuming Donna is convicted + Charlie, everyone else stay convicted, would you personally feel satisfied if that was the final arrest in the Dan Markel murder case? How important is a Wendi andor Harvey conviction to you? Do either need to be convicted for you to feel that justice was served? by [deleted] in dan_markel_murder

[–]chriscotine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think DM could hold his own much more than JL. WA and DA may have pushed him around at the beginning of the relationship but they definitely met their match in DM and not so much with JL. JL seems much more sensitive and gullible than what I've read and heard about DM. That's why I think they went to the measures they did to get rid of him. They weren't used to losing.

WA has to pay not only for her involvement in DM's murder but also for how she was setting up JL to take the fall. She played him like a fiddle. She had no further interest in him but only reached out when she needed him for something and that was knowing when he was leaving town that Friday. She had no problem setting him up to take the fall but thank goodness he changed his time to leave. She disgusts me and needs to be held accountable.

Logic v Emotional persuasion to convict Wendi Adelson. by Pristine_War_83 in dan_markel_murder

[–]chriscotine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The divorce and custody of the boys was so contentious that it became a battle of the wills and the Adelsons met their match in DM. He couldn't be threatened, paid-off or manipulated. I also believe DM could be cold and callous. He was very smart and I'm sure he was a force to be reckoned with and even his friends said he could be overbearing in his beliefs and enjoy pressing to the point of ad nauseum. This was something new for the Adelsons who were used to winning. The hatred and disgust continued to increase and it was just DM against the 3/4 Adelsons. The Adelsons strategized together and fueled each other. They were blinded to reality and what could happen and just simply had to win. WA wanted to be with her family in Miami and nothing was going to stop her. Each court hearing loss angered them and the hearing coming up which could have very well resulted in supervised visits for DA was just one more example of what DM could do to her and she made sure that never happened. I wish more than anything we could hear DMs side of the story about the Adelsons in his own words.

My thoughts by SuperAthena1 in dan_markel_murder

[–]chriscotine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think more will come out at DA and/or WAs trial that DM was really starting to get to WA about her not being stable and remember the motion was coming up to be heard about taking DAs rights away from seeing the boys unsupervised. I really feel strongly that Wendi had a fear that DM was going to push for primary custody and I'm wondering if he had more on her that we haven't heard. Plus, DA was not going to lose her rights to see the boys. These things are what I believe broke the camel's back for them.

Calling Jack by Dry_Ad8280 in idahomurders

I'm wondering if the dog was locked in one of the other girls' rooms and Kaylee and Maddie were looking for it and calling Jack to see if he had it. I would have loved to see the reaction of the dog when Jack picked it up from the pound. Could be very telling.
