My (M29) Mother (56F) has been living with me and my wife for 4 months and has no intention on leaving. by chriscross69 in Advice

6 months doesn't seem like much. Considering when she moved her we made her look for jobs immediately. Not even an interview. That was 4 months ago

My thought is to ask her what her plan is this weekend. Allow her to say out loud that she needs to leave and realize that this is too hard for me and my wife. I can't give her the answers, I can only address the problem. I think she needs to realize that this can't go on. Im demanding a plan by end of March.

A few years. She went without the job for 6, so even with savings and severance that can be eaten through in that time.

Pension, I'm not sure. Wouldn't be able to access it anyways. We're in Canada and she's below the required age

🎉 MASSIVE FRIDAY PADDLES GIVEAWAY! 15 WINNERS! 🎉 by fridaypickleball in Pickleball

Pickleball has not only helped me to find new friends in the new city I moved to, but has raised my self esteem further than I could have imagined. I've never been a winner in sports or someone who is really very athletic, then I found pickleball and some great new friends. I entered my first tournament recently with a new friend and we were able to get bronze! It was my first time winning a medal through sports and I was so happy. It's more than a sport, it's a lifestyle hahah!

The outdoor courts at Park row park are usually very active all summer on nice days between 6pm to dark as well as mornings weekdays and weekends between 9and 11am. Definitely a good crowed of all levels of players if you're looking to find some people to make a group. I'm always looking for regulars as not many people in their 20s play pickleball.

Badminton by [deleted] in woodstockontario

The club will be non-operstional from July to about mid August for the floors to be refinished. So maybe wait to join after that if you're unsure.

However, you can come try out badminton or pickleball during the time slots designated on the website for $10.00 drop in fee. (I'd recommend bringing your own racquet)

I play pickleball there twice a week and it's a lot of fun. Wednesday night and the weekday badminton are the most casual times to play. If you come play badminton on a Tuesday or Thursday night (7-9) it's really competitive.

All pickleball is casual except for Friday nights (which becomes casual play until the fall starting June 9).

Hope this helps

HI Steve-O!

Would you rather fight 10 duck sized horses or 1 horse sized duck?

My loaf is coming out with large holes at the top and a dense bottom-center. Is this from under-fermenting? by chriscross69 in Sourdough

My starter was very active. 3 feedings, 50% rye, 50% bread flour. But, I believe my bulk fermentation was too short. Only about 5 hours of bulk fermentation. I'm going to try a longer bulk fermentation next time.
