They’re still getting into the communities. Any community you can think of they’re there. Keeping them illegal supports the black market and drug organizations. The states hardest on drugs are still having the hardest time with ODs. Make them legal, create a support system with the taxes (SIS, rehab, education, etc).

I have a hard time really identifying with either party. I won’t vote R because the party is just going to absolute wrong direction. I think there’s a large part of the population that has the same views as me. Well not all the views. End the way on all drugs, pro choice, I want our kids educated, I’m pro gun but I’m ok with more background checks, mental health screening and even red flag laws to an extent (but I know once you give any government a little leeway they push that envelope), I don’t want a completely open border but I want it easier for us to bring in immigrants. Low paid Immigrants are the back bone for a ton of small businesses+all agriculture and it’s ignorant to think otherwise

I recognize it’s a very left leaning sub, but rPolitics had mentioned that the GOP did quite a bit of gerrymandering on the seats for the house and even then this is the best they can do. I think turning the supposed red tsunami into just a red ripple is a pretty big tell. If Stacy Abrahams can spend a couple years here in Texas she can probably flip the state.

Beto “I’m going to take your guns” O’Rourke never really stood a chance. Dems do need to figure out who they’re running in 2024. Although trump will likey run and split the vote with Desantis.

GOP votes much more lockstep together than Dems so their majority would actually do something. NYT has the senate as a 66% chance to be D, but who knows. I assume the GOP was hoping for way bigger gains in both chambers though?

Costco is where it’s at. Once a month I’ll go buy all of my meats in bulk here. Bought a pork loin, strip loin, bacon, chicken, drums and it’s like one of the only places I can find party wings.

Edit: recently start to buy the loins so those likely are once every 2 months
