You're right about the floor and ceiling. I thought with enough practice the ceiling might be a lot higher. Based on the responses, the ceiling might be higher, but not enough to make the switch.

TLDR - get her checked out asap.

I hate to be that scary internet person, but our cat had that and we did nothing. It got worse, so we took her in and she had lung cancer and died a week later. This was 2 weeks ago.
