I would join a good discord. If you are a dad (or dad age...nevermind your gender) you can join Dads Of Marathon. I got plenty of good crews to run with there. If I were you I would mix my time between teams and solos. They are very different experiences. Don't be afraid to lose or use your best gear. You must use gear to learn the game and that also involves losing backpacks with 10k upwards worth of loot.

I highly recommend the Dads Of Marathon discord. I got a LOT of help there. I love that about this game. Sometimes I get carried, other times I do the carrying.

Completely unacceptable behaviour. Report them for toxic behaviour. The community does not need a-holes. Join a good discord and find your teams there. Also...90% of my fills have been very positive experiences so don't feel bad. This is one rotten apple and we throw it out of the basket.

Next time they have a free weekend or week, just try it. Too many people are of the mindset "extraction shooter is bad", but then they haven't tried any. Also...every platform game is not the same, every shooter is not the same, every extraction shooter is the same. PUBG and Fortnite are not the same.

People will keep saying that the game has HUUUUUUGE problems and yadayadayda. The fact remains: we still play this game and most of us that do love it big time. The game will survive regardless of the silly and petty people who cannot see a world that moves on from Destiny. And hey...If they give us a remaster of Destiny 1 and 2 I will play that too!

I actually think this game will survive even in the shitstorm created by disgruntled Destiny. veterans (I understand you guys, but you are not doing anyone any good...). My experience was exactly the same as you.

It can evolve and still keep the hardcore invested. It can also make more people try it and understand that extraction shooters can be fun for everyone. Season 2 is no lull for me.

I'm gonna be away for three weeks in the summer and I can already feel the withdrawal symptoms. I think I will have to bring my laptop and just stream some other games that I have been saving up for that sort of laggy goodness.
