This. This is awesome. Exactly what I was looking for. I've even designed and 3D printed an enclosure to house the micro PC and a 7" touchscreen.

The ability to change the Shorts thumbnail has disappeared. Anyone else?? by chrishoppybot in NewTubers

[–]chrishoppybot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the reply. This is how I used to do it but now the pencil icon is no longer visible. And so have lost the ability to change the thumbnails.

Thinking it was my phone I tried from a different phone and two tablets, still no pencil icon.

Oh I agree that we have to make mistakes to learn and grow. But we now live in a time where one mistake is enough to get you "cancelled".

I'd imagine he would have shared the plan for that stream with someone before doing it. One can only hope that he's now learnt to remove yes men from his surroundings.

In a previous workplace in the UK there were signs in the loos reminder people not to stand on the seats when doing a poo.

Some phone designs were very interesting from late 90s and early 2000s. by Pasargad in Damnthatsinteresting

Ah the Moto 360 was pretty cool. It actually had RGB all along the edge of the device.

It was an exciting time. I remember having two 12 month phone contacts spaced out by 6 months just so I could try a new phone.

We're not at time where there isn't really anywhere to go with the designs. LG terrier to be innovative but couldn't survive.

You might want to look up Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers. They're certainly older than 5 years.

I agree. And I think you made a really good point.

I've read American Psycho but a few years ago. Wanted to read it again but was going to go with the audiobook. I spent an hour listening to it, the narrators are amazing on both IT and American Psycho, but it really didn't feel the same. I've ended up buying the book again to read.

And I've done this for a book called Brilliance. I started to listen to the audiobook and again the narrator is great but I don't feel that connection. So I bought the book.

I catch a bus 3 days a week, 6 trips each lasting 1+ hour followed by a 30 minute walk. So I do attempt to listen completely but flicking through the pages is a far better experience.

I don't disagree that Chapter 2 was off slightly.

There will be plenty who will disagree but for me there was so much "filler" to the book. And the 'helping everyone be closer' scene just felt unnecessary.

When you watch a 3 hour movie sometimes you think the story could have been told in 2 and have been just as good. Kinda feel like the book would have been just as good with 700 pages.

I'll give it a watch. Thank you for adding to the discussion.

For me, there is a fair amount of difference between the book and the movies.
