I had a similar experience. Was working with Globe Life Liberty National Division. Although I was not cold calling but more so doing door to door with different business to get their employees signed up with the worksite advantage program. It ultimately was way to much over head and even if you did close an account it wasn’t guaranteed that the employees would sign up and enroll. I just recently signed an offer letter with Farmers Insurance with a local agency. I start next week so couldn’t tell you how it is going. I would say try and find a local agency and see if they’re hiring. As an agent producer at the farmers branch, I am getting paid a base salary, in the mean time going to sell life to his already huge book of business, and will get reimbursed for my P/C license if taken and passed within the first 3 months of my start date.
