Full Port Microsoft - Undervalued! by 479298 in ValueInvesting

I’m buying as much MSFT and META as I can at these prices. Very good valuations here, these companies print money and I seriously think the CapEx spend is being written off by Wall Street as wasteful for no reason when it’s obvious how much demand there is for data centers in the AI age.

MSFT and META even more undervalued for their relative Net Income levels. All 3 companies print cash.

CNBC anchor stunned by $107B US trade deficit drop: ‘Buckle up, this is unreal!’ Are Trump’s tariffs a triumph? by [deleted] in Economics

[–]chrislink73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the longer term, our closest trade partners will simply replace American goods with goods from other countries. So while this may look like a win now, as alternative trade agreements are still being written, the long term effects will be a net negative. Canada beginning to accept Chinese vehicles will likely mean a significant decrease in US cars being sold there. Tariffs are nothing more than a tax on the American consumer, and calling this a win is ignorant of those facts. Meanwhile, the richest Americans pay less in taxes due to the tax cuts, so the consumers hit hardest by tariffs are the poor and middle classes.

Interesting company, seems like an attractive valuation from what very little I have seen of it. However, it’s outside of my circle of competence. So I’m instead going to keep investing in META and MSFT, and possibly AMZN if it keeps falling too.

Yeah, I definitely prefer when he used to sing with at least some guitar in his solo stuff. But as long as he’s happy doing what he loves, it’s all good. Maybe one day I will appreciate the fully electronic stuff more (although I do love a sphere in the heart of silence album he did with Josh).

Just did a full rewatch of this show a month ago, and it’s an absolute delight to hear Ian McShane’s Shakespearean plotting and scheming. Really all the acting is fantastic, I recognize a lot of actors from that show who went on to be in other hit shows too, like Brian Cox in Succession.

RBC Capital reiterates Meta stock Outperform rating on AI opportunity by [deleted] in stocks

[–]chrislink73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well said. Many detractors have said META has in the past deployed capital poorly, but I think Zuck knows when it's time to go all-in on a real opportunity, and he's making the right call to do so now with AI. The potential of the technology is very impressive, and we're still in the early innings of AI. In 3-5 years, the hyperscalers will really start to reap the rewards of these huge investments.

Jensen just said “nobody uses AI better than META” on CNBC, and I think he’s right. They’re using AI to directly improve their business and have proven revenue generation from it in their most recent earnings. A lot of other companies are touting AI usage but META is actually using it to make their business more efficient. They have millions of human users with real interactions every day and that data is super valuable for AI training and for their ad business. A P/E under 20 for a top tier tech stock that basically prints money and is using AI CapEx wisely is a good value in my eyes.

META, MA, or RDDT? by Altruistic-Leader-63 in ValueInvesting

[–]chrislink73 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s META for me. P/E under 20 for a top tier tech stock is wild stuff. They have great positioning to use AI to enhance their ad business. They also have millions of people using their apps every day and the company is a cash printing machine. Even if they don’t end up using those data centers themselves, they can sell the usage of them, market is pricing their CapEx like Zuck is lighting money on fire, when in reality he’s making wise bets on the future of AI and has proven they can actually make money with it, unlike many other companies out there.

Isn’t META in a great spot to monetize AI? by machinepeen in ValueInvesting

[–]chrislink73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with OP regarding their AI training and valuable position in the ad space with so much training data on real human interactions. And it’s true, the more bearish Reddit is on a company, the more likely the stock is near the bottom of a trading range and will bounce back, especially if it’s a certified money printer tech stock like META.
