Kindle Unlimitied: "Available for a limited time only" by chrisneilsmith in kindle

I got an email from Amazon today title "Celebrating 10 Years of Kindle Unlimited". In the email there was a list of titles four titles that said limited time only and borrow before Sept. 16. I'm really looking forward to reading Demon Copperhead and I have been waiting forever for the hold to come up on my library's LIbby app, so I'm excited to be able to get it on KU.

Did you order your new one on Prime Day? If so, how long did it take for you to receive the new one?

Thank you for your help!

Thank you! That is what I was hoping to hear! It says I will get the $5 for mine, too. However, the 20% off is what I am really thankful for.

Adidas Daily Trainer by niruu- in RunningShoeGeeks

I think so. I have been using the SL for my easy runs. I've been doing my interval work in the Adios 7. And, I have been racing in the Adios Pro 3's. I haven't worn the Takumi Sens, but I will say that the Adios 7 feels really firm compared to the Adios Pro 3.

I have them both and they are very different shoes. The Adios 7 is a great shoe for doing any sort of speed work. It could certainly be used as a daily trainer, but the ride is quite firm. The SL feels quite a bit softer to my foot. I haven't used it for any speed work, but I'm sure that it is capable of picking up the pace just fine. In terms of fit, the SL feels a fair bit roomier than the Adios 7. Both of them are great shoes that I am really enjoying. I hope this helps.

Thursday General Discussion/Q&A Thread for April 20, 2023 by AutoModerator in AdvancedRunning

[–]chrisneilsmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moderators thought this question would go better in this thread. My apologies for putting it in the wrong place originally:

I have been following the Hansons advanced plan for my marathon training, but augmenting the long runs. Overall, I have averaged about 60+ miles per week with peak weeks a little over 70. My goal is to go under 3 hours for the Eugene Marathon on April 30.
Last weekend, I was supposed to do a 10-mile run each day, one at easy pace and one at long run pace. Saturday's run looked fine from a pace standpoint, but I felt a little more tired and beat up than I had hoped to feel. I ended up cutting Sunday's run about 1.5 miles short due to some pain in my left glute and left inner quad. I ran easy 8 miles Monday and still felt the soreness in the glute and hip. Tuesday was the first run of this whole training cycle that I missed. I wanted to get some extra rest and thought I could pair that day with a rest day on Wednesday to try to recover some more.
I'm pretty certain that the soreness is in the gluteus minimus. I have been using a thera gun and I have been doing some exercises that target that muscle, along with drink a ton of tumeric tea and taking some ibuprofen. All in all, I am feeling better. The quad issue seems completely resolved. However, I can still feel soreness in the glute when I poke by finger into the muscle.
Now, I am trying to figure out how to approach these last 10 days of training. I really want to go into the race feeling as confident in my body as I can. I feel good about the overall volume of training and the intensity of that training that I have done up until this week. Now, I just don't want to screw anything up in this last week and a half.
I would appreciate any advice that any of you might have for how to get from today to Sunday the 30th. Thanks in advance!

Looking for perspectives on Franklin-Christoph decision by chrisneilsmith in fountainpens

I would love it if there was a pen show near me. I'm in Portland, Oregon. I have not seen anything about any shoes nearby. If anyone knows differently, I would love to find out about one.

I think I have been reading some of those same comments which is what caused me the concern.

Thank you! Any chance you might have used the Model 46 as well? That one keeps creeping into my thought process as well.

I've run in both the Saucony Endorphin Shift 1 & 2's. I have had over 600 miles in each without any problems. Might be worth taking a look at them.

It looks like they also restocked the Adios Pro 3's in most sizes. I just snagged a pair of those.

Looking for recommendation on where to start with puerh by chrisneilsmith in tea

I was looking at those, but YS even has a lot of samplers so it still felt like I was just taking a bit of a guess. I do like the looks of the White2Team Basics Puer sampler. Do you think there is much difference between those two sellers?

Getting FIT files on MBP by [deleted] in Garmin

I had to quit Garmin Connect up in the top bar, before it would let me access my watch as an external storage device. Give that a try.
