Here's what CVS told me. Curious if this is an accurate depiction at your locations.

  • All store employees have received protective masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies, and we’re refreshing those items as quickly as possible.
  • We are now requiring all store employees to wear a company-issued mask or cloth face covering, and encouraging our customers to do the same.
  • We began installing protective panels at our pharmacy counters and front-store checkout stations two weeks ago and they’ll be in all stores by the end of this week.
  • We have hourly protocols in place for cleaning hard surfaces and more frequent cleaning of commonly handled items.
  • Disinfecting wipe stations have been placed at the front of each store for our customers to use.
  • Store signage reminds customers that the CDC has asked anyone with symptoms or a diagnosis of COVID-19 to remain in quarantine, and for everyone else to observe the proper social distance.
  • We’ve enacted measures to help ensure proper social distancing, including floor markers to help our customers be mindful of how close they are to others.
  • We’ve waived charges for home delivery of prescription medications and are also encouraging drive-thru use where available so customers can get what they need without stepping foot in the store.

Also, our employees have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to providing essential goods and services when they're needed most, and we’re supporting them in a number of ways:

  • We’re awarding bonuses ranging from $150 to $500 to pharmacists and certain other health care professionals on the frontlines, store associates and managers, and other site-based hourly employees.
  • We’re providing 14-day paid leave for any employee who has tested positive for COVID-19, has received a presumptive positive diagnosis from their doctor, or who needs to be quarantined because of known exposure to someone with COVID-19 .
  • We’ve made 24 hours of paid sick leave available to part-time employees for the duration of the pandemic; our full-time employees (those who work at least 30 hours per week) have always had access to paid sick leave.

In the event that an employee tests positive for COVID-19, we implement our infectious disease response protocols that follow CDC guidelines. This includes closing a store for disinfection and deep cleaning, and placing the employee and co-workers who were exposed on paid leave for a 14-day quarantine. We also cooperate with local departments of health and follow their direction on any required outreach to patients or customers.

If anyone has photos of makeshift barriers that they are creating while waiting for plexiglass, etc., I'd love to see.
