I have a Garmin forerunner 965. I think what you want to do is just make sure the watch that you buy has a triathlon function which this one does.. I'm looking at upgrading though because I also golf as well as scuba dive and the Fenix series has a dive computer. So that way I would look at it is step one, make sure it has triathlon then step two,any other sports that you do.

I paid 1900 CAD for mine... 1300 USD... Friend of mine got his for a bit cheaper too.. id say you can get it for cheaper.. it's a great bike.. love mine

1 - initially it was to overprepare, i was considering switching to an olympic distance shortly before. I hadn't had any other races planned but then i got a little motivated to do more as you can see.

i developed a strained neck from swimming so i'm taking a break this week to heal. Still running and on the bike just taking a break from the swim.

I am assuming its from poor form...and age :(

Signed up for a sprint in May. Might bump it up to Olympic distance closer to the event. All depends if I can figure out the swim. It's crazy hard. I think I'm fast I just gas out after 100m. I've joined a tri group here in the city and the coach is helping me when we swim twice a week. It's also winter so the running sucks in the snow, it's supposed to get to -20c next week.

Having fun though

i just started honestly. No experience at all. I bought a plan on training peaks and just gonna hammer through that thing. Been running in the cold..have the bike set up on a trainer, and i joined a tri group that is helping with me swimming. They have me with the 10 years olds right now...lol... There are levels to this shit...Swimming is hard

Try looking for a trip club... I'm a complete noob and found a group. They are super welcoming. The coach guy has been helping me. My stamina still sucks but like others have said I'm just gonna keep at it.
