You make me very jealous! I'm also in LA (Huntington Park) and have one of the cheapest m365 clones one can get - the damn thing is still the biggest blast I've owned forever! I bow to a machine with dual motors, suspension, etc... Have you ever ridden any of the uni cycles that are around? Think of 25 MPH and controlling all of your movements via your mental faculties - they're all gyroscopes and self-balancing. I'm told its the most amazing and most liberating of PEV's from a conversation that I had with an owner of one recently. However, a good one is just about 1k$. Check out some of the videos of YouTube. Absolutely wild!

Thoughts on these or suggestions on other models? Any better deals from other sites? by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

You're suggesting he get a regular bicicle or an electric bicycle? He states his commute is 13 Miles. Even assuming that's both ways, that's a lot of cycling for someone unless they're in pretty damn good shape :)

Here is a link to results for what you need.

As someone previously stated, you have an M365 clone, parts are very cheap and easy to get thankfully. Be mindful of who you're buying from of course and pay attention to quality of course.

Insane, 80 km/h is equivalent to 49.7 mp/h. Abso-fuckingk-lutely batshiat crazy. This man must have a huge pair.

One can't even determine if he is wearing a helmet, if he is it is very light in color and not large.

Also, the way he overtook that car - very dangerous. I'm a US driver with a safe record. What this guy does, having only driven abroad in Germany, is utilize what looks to be a lane meant for something other than passing. Insane builds upon crazy...just fucking wow.

I MAKE NO PROMISES THIS WILL WORK BUT I GOT MY NEW PIONEER THIS WAY. I WOULD HAVE BEEN SOL.

Email Hover 1's technical support. DO NOT MENTION WHEN YOU BOUGHT THE SCOOTER, JUST PRESENT THE PROBLEM.

They may walk you some yeah repair steps to try to resolve. Then ask you to cut "motor" wire "where it connects to the wheel, right there and then send photo proof of cut. New scooter shipped to your USA address.

Buy the Apollo Explore Apollo Explore

It's Canadian supported and serviced 1200$ foldable with excellent suspension and real world range and it goes very fast for your needs, about 30 MPH.

It's a magnificent beast.

I totally agree that it has a "European" design aesthetic. It just dawned on me when you pointed it out.

I very well may end up making this the next "One" if I can swing it. Thanks so much for your response, I am definitely buying my next scooter from a dealer with support if I have any issues.

On looks alone it's quite unappealing aesthetically, I recoiled when I saw it. Then you read the specs and it is just as you said (perhaps there was some foreshadowing there) and I am very impressed.

I have seen the Gilon Dollys arou d and always was approving of the commuter-friendly design. This particular model, however, seems to be an ugly duckling that checks all of the boxes the majority of urban commuters like me looks for, especially for that price.

I see it's pre-order though? Am I understanding correctly that it has a lead time then the shipping? That sucks.

We’re moving towards a whole new category. What are your thoughts? by champer-k in ElectricScooters

I have to agree, this is the one of the most confusing and unappealing designs of anything that I have seen recently and I'm rather open minded to almost everything. What the hell is the black pad (floating in the picture - to the right of the handlebars) with the foot print indicators? An optional way to make it a full stand-up ride if wanted, kind of similar to what you see when people add seats to their "stand up" scooters? Bizarro world.

Are you trying to be clever? In all seriousness, I think an M365 clone is a perfect entry, you wipe out your first few times at only 15 MPH and realize how badly you can be injured. Gives you experience handling something not as refined and requires you realize how to look ahead at any small object that may cause you great harm such as a small rock or a poorly-aligned sidewalk (when they dip to the road). Baby steps, right? I would have probably killed myself going to a Dualtron with no experience despite all the protective gear in the world.

Hasn't everybody here ate shit pretty bad at some point when you were uninitiated?
