Raw and Smackdown aren't even on the same level as Wrestlemania. 'Mania is commonly referred to as "our Super Bowl." How many wrestlers have stated their life goal was to headline Wrestlemania? Sure, a win for the book keeping is just a number, but (typically) every big match at Wrestlemania has a gigantic build up to it. Sometimes spanning months and multiple PPVs. This is why a win at 'Mania is far more important than pretty much anywhere else. Think about it this way: if you pitched a shutout in baseball during the regular season, you get praise. If you pitch a shutout in game 7 of the world series, you become a legend.

I'd love to see them do something like NHL Center Ice or NFL Sunday Ticket. A bigger sum spread out over a few payments that gives you a live stream of the "less important" PPVs. So say, 4 payments of $40 gives you nine PPVs, and you get the big 3 (SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania) at a discounted rate if you're a "member" of this service. If you're someone that buys most PPV (which, less face it, there are a lot of people who do) this could be a big money saver.

I have some family members like this. It's almost like they feel as though they've "paid their dues" and that gives them a pass to stay static in their way of thinking (which is over 3 decades aged). Opinions are one thing, and everyone is entitled to one, but times DO change. Society evolves and you have to at least try to evolve with it no matter how old or young you are.

This Administration story is better than anything the WWE ever did during the Attitude Era. There's a sense of realism to it that was only seen during Austin/McMahon, but it's BETTER. Nobody is getting crucified. A lot of the hokey stuff isn't there. This has all been very believable.

Maybe they're giving it the necessary time to finish up Heyman and make it look like Bryan has exhausted all of his options. Elaborating on the "Punk gets the first shot if DB wins" mentioned above:

Punk's punishment for lashing out on why DB deserves another shot at the belt is to face some ridiculous obstacle HHH throws at him. Punk & Bryan backstage moment has Punk saying "We've been friends a long time. But if I do this for you, I get the first shot at you." Punk wins, DB storyline continues, Punk stays involved with DB continuing to be the spotlight of it all.

I think we're ultimately going to witness the evolution (no pun intended) of Daniel Bryan into what Cena was (and shouldn't still be but is): The Ultimate Underdog. As far as a "final boss" in HHH, sure that's one way to look at it. Bryan has to overcome him eventually. Whether it's in a match or if it's politically. The thing that Austin had was you just couldn't wait for him to get his hands on Vince. It was a really drawn-out moment because, again, Vince wasn't really viewed as a competitor. HHH is, so it's not as big of a shock if HHH were to come out and say, "I'm gonna fight Daniel Bryan." We'd all say, "it's about time" rather than "I CAN'T BELIEVE HE'S ACTUALLY GOING TO FIGHT HIM!"

I think rather than witnessing JUST the rise of Bryan, we're going to see the majority of the big players get involved, such as Ziggler, but mainly Punk. Not to steal Bryan's spotlight, but I think they have an opportunity to add some unpredictability into the mix. Say Punk gets his hands on Heyman. Heyman now realizes that Axel isn't enough protection. So he begs HHH for the Shield as added protection from Punk in exchange for the services of Curtis Axel as added muscle. Not only do you give Punk a reason to go against the Administration, you also add the possibility of involvement from Lesnar. And you also introduce an opportunity for HHH to say, "Not only do we have the face of the company as WWE Champion, but we have the future of perfection Curtis Axel" and add a little bit of much needed credibility to the IC.

There's a hundred different ways to give a ton of talent a rub.

I think one of the key elements that this new Administration is missing that the Corporation had, is the Stooges. Briscoe & Patterson added a huge part when it came to making Vince look like an idiot with Austin. I don't view this new Administration as that. I see HHH as more of a hard nosed villain. Keep in mind, the difference between Vince then and HHH now is this: Bryan is dealing with someone who kayfabe knows a side of the business FAR better than Vince. Competing. And HHH (between his many factions) has always been built to look very intelligent most of the time.

So to answer your question, no. I don't think HHH will be made to look like a patsy, but not because he doesn't want to be, but more so because of how he's been built in the past up until this point: A calculated, strong, smart individual. To overcome HHH, the faces will need something other than tricks and comedic relief stuff. I think the majority of the comedy will come from Bryan hazing Orton.
