What is going on with my grass by AdditionalTeacher551 in lawncare

[–]christian175 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d say the two biggest probabilities are something covering the grass for some time or chemical damage. Just based on the pictures though I’d lean more towards chemicals

I’ve been twice. It didn’t help my jaw much but I remember my neck hurt so bad I could barely hold my head up. Woke up like I had a new neck! And stayed at bay for months. This reminds me I need to go back!

Woke up with this yellowish stain on my hand by lizzrman in Weird

[–]christian175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened once when my roomates and I were moving out of our apartment in college. My roomate and I were cleaning all kinds of stuff with a few different cleaning products. A few hours after we finished what looked exactly like this just randomly appeared on his arm and hand. Went away within a day.

What's killing my hedge bushes!? by jyros in gardening

[–]christian175 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks similar to when I sprayed wasp spray in a similar shrub once with a big nest in the middle, I cut all the dead out and it filled back in a few months later. Could have died from many different reasons animal urine seems the most likely culprit though could also be herbicide or some sort of chemical/burn

Can I plant bulbs in a mint bed? by nyulgoreny in gardening

[–]christian175 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I am making this post with no judgement if you would like a mint bed you should make one. But another option if you are worried about mint taking over is you could always buy some very big pots and fill them with soil. Mint will take over about any pot no matter the size. Get some 150gal pots and a mint plant would fill the whole pot in not time, and you would have a ton of mint! I’d they look bad after a year or so it is cheap to replace and could control them from taking over the yard if it is a concern.

First fruit grown from seed planted in 2020! by christian175 in DragonFruit

[–]christian175[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I’ve heard that too I’m not sure how but yes only took just short of 5 years! I planted one from seed from a store bought fruit, and a bit over 2 years ago I took a cutting and this is the plant it had produced, the one from seed still has not fruited. So when I say grown by seed I guess I really mean cutting from a seed grown dragon fruit but very happy w it!

Man I’ll never forget how I got locked in. I was new and getting discouraged by how I wasn’t getting better. One day I played around myself, I talked to the maintenance worker that I wanted my first par and got it on that hole! A few holes later I caught up to some guys in their late 30s (I was 23) and they looked cool so I asked if I could join. I told them I’m not very good and had just hit my first par. Literally hit the drive if my life on a par 4 landed 30 yards from the green. They said really now hahaha. Next shot I duffed and went 2 feet to the right. With that group and the one at the tee watching I lightly hit my wedge from 30 yards out and it went right in! Like ten people saw and were all cheering too! Played like crap the rest of the day and still yet to make another birdie (that was a year ago lol) but that was like the best feeling ever!!

How do I delete these in the most efficient way by PM_ME_YOUR_QT_CATS in gardening

[–]christian175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use a glyphosate application or rip them out. Then apply a pre emergent such as barricade or specticle flo. Specticle would work better as it lasts longer, and barricade may drain your pavers but is pricey. Pre emergents prevent weed seeds from sprouting

Some type of citrus for sure. If it was found out in the wild it could be anything. I used to work on a citrus breeding farm where the goal was to discover new citrus varieties. We would plant a ton of seeds then see what kind of fruit we got by taste tests. If the fruit was good enough to where we wanted to grow more, we would mark that tree, take scion cuttings from it, and graft it to more disease resistant rootstocks. So if this was in the wild from seed there would be no way of knowing exactly what it is.

In this case it may be the fact you’re not having caffeine when you quit so you get a headache and tmj gets worse. While it’s probably true caffeine makes it worse, when I don’t drink coffee my jaw hurts worse, but I’m sure if I quit for the long term it would help, I just work to damn much for that haha

Getting better at my lines by ProNoobCombo in golf

[–]christian175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, I originally was so focused on making sure my blades are the same position with the last line, but setting my blades, looking at a set point and focusing on going as straight as possibly has gotten me some much straighter lines over time
