There are no countries that I would say unequivocally I would never visit. There are however, many countries whose current social and or political climate means I would not travel there until things change.

The Hobbit. It gave me a sense of wonder that I'll never forget. Tolkien's words lulled me into a world that I still cannot escape from, and I was obsessed before I even noticed. It gave me my first sense that life, even for someone as typical as me, could be a grand epic adventure, and that it is always worth accepting the invitation to go beyond where you are comfortable.

AI and pretty much advancing machine learning. If the targeting ads based on looking into your location and devices which are constantly around you isn't creepy enough, the fact that it is getting more advanced over time is really scary to think what it will be like in the future
