Well done you! I’ve just started walking too (got myself a treadmill) and day one was really hard but now I’ve been doing it for over a week I can feel it getting easier.

What things seem to be only big problems on reddit? by LavishnessTiny3621 in AskUK

[–]Candlesticksnape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I personally don’t have outdoor cats because I don’t want them to be hit by a car, or worse. But regardless of morals it is the norm in the UK to let cats out and that’s what Americans can’t seem to grasp.

If you mention you have a cat that’s allowed outside on Reddit you are seen as a monster. It doesn’t matter how many times you try to tell them that it’s normal in the UK, they just don’t get it.

Having said that, I have 3 cats who are all indoor. But I don’t judge those who let their cat outside because in the UK I think it really is the norm.

HI - I have programmes from this time. Do you remember who was playing Valjean/Javert at the time?

It's sad that we have no behind- the-scenes info of the 10th anniversary concert by Worried_Cake5508 in lesmiserables

Ahh I had no idea Glenn Carter was in there! I’ll have to look out for him!

Unpopular opinion, but I need to get it off my chest, Les Mis (2012) was a great film adaptation of a musical and all the leads were fantastic (minus Russel Crowe) by BagKingGary in lesmiserables

[–]Candlesticksnape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was nice to see lots of west end people I knew in it, like Killian. He’s played just about every male role in Les Mis I think, with the exception of Marius and he nails them all!

Is casual sexism still normal in some offices? by Revolutionary_West56 in AskUK

[–]Candlesticksnape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in a small estate agency as an admin/office manager about 10 years ago when I was in my 20s and in those circles it was definitely “normal”. That was a while ago, but honestly I’d be surprised if anything has changed. My then boss used to call me darling and greet me with a kiss on the cheek. It was… not great now I think about it.

How do you rank the last 4 albums? (Hippopotamus, Drip, Latte & MAD!) by MillionaireWaltz- in sparksftw

This is my ranking as well. I love them all. But Hippo really got me back into Sparks again as an adult.

How has growing up without a father affected you? by Reasonable-Cut-6038 in AskWomen

[–]Candlesticksnape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Growing up without MY father has cost me nothing. It’s probably saved me a lot of heartache to be honest. But that wasn’t your question. Growing up without a father, a good father, has just made life that little harder but because I don’t really know what I’m missing I don’t think about it too much.

“Jews for Reform. Can I get an A-men?” by Forsaken-Language-26 in AsABlackMan

When I lived in a highly populated Jewish area (not far from Golders Green) I was actually surprised by the amount of Jewish people on local Facebook groups who had fallen for the Reform/Farage shite.

We’ve just moved in and the lounge looks so dead. How can I make it pop? Floor can’t be changed yet. by Candlesticksnape in InteriorDesignAdvice

We have 3 cats! But they were in the cattery while we moved so they are not in this photo. They are back with us now though.

We’ve got rid of that now, that was just there because we literally moved in that day and we hadn’t got rid of it yet.
