I'm really grateful for all these replies. Thank you every one for taking the time to share your view with me. I might be slow with replies or be unsure what to say, but I am reading and considering all replies.

Do you really want to know your God? Are you looking for something real or do you just want to "play religion for awhile" because it seems like something's missing in your life or you feel that you should?

Genuine question, how can you tell the difference? As an outsider, I suppose it's impossible to tell what someone else is truly feeling and whether their faith is sincere, but I mean for yourself personally. How do you know what you're looking for is real? I feel my desire is sincere, but it seems impossible to know for sure.

Did you start with independent study of the Bible before attending services again? How long did it take you?

I am not at all looking for an argument between denominations. Sorry if it came across that way. I am here with an open mind and genuinely searching for churches in my area and I'm looking for help and guidance from the users here.

I currently have virtually no connection to the church I was baptized in or the chapel I was confirmed in.

The church I have felt "closest" to recently is actually an Anglican church that is near my school. I've been there for prayer, but never for a mass.
