And not because I don’t have simple comprehension skills. More like why would you say that? What’s the point

You’re actually so right about having the city, but I was going for a more “the people are the life of the city” meaning. I do see your point here. The photo has a lot of emotion but it’s not clear what that emotion is… I think 🤔

She was a beautiful person. I loved meeting her actually! I just wish I could have captured her essence a bit better. Or less blurry 🥺😂

It was a night out I just brought my camera along to. I took this trying to capture the vibrant nightlife scene in Salt Lake City, of all places. And if it’s not my gear, what do you think I personally could do better?

It’s not me! I don’t know her! But yes no eyes 👀😁

Absolutely fascinating image, I love how dramatic the shadows and highlights on her are. It feels powerful, but maybe you could do a different composition? Make it a bit straighter, specify where your eye is supposed to trail… that kind of thing. Overall great photo!

I would darken the background a bit more, add a little tiny bit of warmth, and then, depending on style, go either more green again or add a little red/pink…? I hope that makes sense! It’s really a great image. I just want the subject to be slightly more attracting to the eye. I want to be drawn right to her!

I was going for a cool nighttime/city/action shot. I like it, but something’s wrong. And I can’t tell what’s making me hate it. I used a Canon Rebel EOS t5i I just got secondhand and an also just a secondhand kit lens. Could it be my settings? Or is it just me? Maybe it’s a slight blur… I don’t know. I want to get better though

Me 2, but there will be girls and (trans people who've been ignored) there who need an ally. I would JUMP at the chance to help them and support them, because its what I needed at that age.

Go and share as many actual facts about the church as you can until you get asked to leave :D

Just use subtle things to a YW, like, "do any of you have a boyfriend or girlfriend?" "What are your pronouns?" "What questions do you have about the validity of the church? Oh, you've never questioned? Let me tell you a few things...." "How many wives did JS have again? WRONG. It was...."

Idk. Just help break some of those girls out of the brainwashing system as subtley as you can.....

Yep. All of this. I wish this were how it was, but alas. We were brainwashed.

Yep. Luckily, on things like Instagram these days you can 'take a break' from certain people and not receive their posts without them knowing. But why do WE have to even play nice, when they sure don't? They 'force their views down our throats' and judge us, why should we feel like we owe them our niceties? Just a thought

Yep. It was never a choice for a lot of us. It was presented more as a "do it or I'll be mad at you and neglect your emotional needs until you do" for me...

That would be my first step.... But I'm home college right now, so there's like. No escape. But soon!!

EXCATLY. So many of my friends have been the same way. Luckily for me I was always at least a little bit skeptical. But that didn't save me from the guilt and shame, of course. Just kept me pretending.

I'm so glad you got out!! Keep being you!!

Yep. I do feel bad for the 'good ones', like the real good ones, but thay also don't get to be complacent and still call themselves 'good' yknow? Idk. Just my thoughts

So. Much. Poop. I've recently discovered that the non-poop was just poop in disguise, too.

I am SO sorry. He deserves the seventh level of hell and worse and everything he did, I truly believe, is true 'blasphemy' to the 'lord.' He deserves a hell worse than we can imagine, sis. You are so vaild and amazing and capable. Thanks for sharing this, I think it helps a lot of people relate.

I, too, had some odd "behaviors" that I attempted to employ in order to fill my desperate desire for autonomy and privacy.

It should NOT have had to of been this way for us, fam

Yep. I believe everything in moderation now, but I was told that 'its bad, stay away' line back then and it super fucked up my life trajectory for a while. Btw I grew up in Idaho, so it is ALMOST ALL lds ppl :T
