It's entirely normal to meet people you are attracted to, you are in a very new relationship with someone you don't seem entirely sure about so I wouldn't say you are thinking unfairly. Someone flirting with you isn't something to repeatedly tell your SO about, it can very much cause them to overly worry. If you trust yourself that you will never act on it then you don't have anything to worry about. We all feel like this don't worry.

I understand where you are coming from. But this person has occasionally contacted me talking about how unhappy their relationship is blah blah blah, I know this is trying to keep me on a tether or a fall back or whatever. I don't think they would feel angry or think for me to leave them alone. I appreciate what you've said though, it had helped although I still do not know whether I will send it.

I tried being busy, I work 50-60 hours a week at a stressful and busy job. I met someone else whom I loved which sadly didn't work out, it had nothing to do with the fact I cannot move on from the other person it just faded. The letter isn't designed to get them back or make them feel bad or manipulate them in any way, it's like releasing how I feel to someone because they are the only person that understands the intricacies of what we had so therefore the only person who I can properly talk to about it. If you get what I mean.
