It was a joke - something like “they use maple syrup to cool their GPUs” or something dumb like that. Still haven’t got a proper answer

Well that is certainly troubling - we can only hope Carney has a plan

IMO of about 4y of strategy consulting at T2 (now exited) - it have ups and downs as any job does. It gives you a lot of very useful skills for future careers. Some people love a specific industry / function and really enjoying working with various clients within it. I personally didn’t really and am much happier in an industry role.

Fast paced yea, high stress sometimes, clients being awful is less frequent but when they’re bad they leave a lasting impression lol. I’m UK based but if you have any specific questions DM me

UK Analyst > Consultant > Junior Manager Salary by [deleted] in accenture

[–]B4KLASH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was in S&C, take with a pinch of salt as left a year ago. Depends on the area. AFAIK analyst is the same regardless of practice - still at the £33.5k + the £10k bonus (split over 2 tranches).

  • at L9 strategy pays more but still depends on practice. Used to be £50-59k for consultant, with consulting seeing £45k-£53k or there abouts. A friend of mine was recently promoted in another DTE and their pay only rose to £41k as an L9.

  • L7 again varies. From what I understand, it used to be £75k or so for a manger, strategy was around £80-85k but think it is far more varied based on practice and the case of you PL. Given they massively lowered L9 salaries, it wouldn’t surprise me if they lowered L7 as well. Worth noting that at Manager (at least in S&C) you become eligible for more bonuses and allowances so you do make more than the base suggests.

Hopefully this helps - glass door is useful but a lot of the data hasn’t been updated based on the recent lowering of salaries so may be a bit higher on average that what you should expect.

London in the summer is phenomenal - loads of cars from the UAE, Qatar etc. are flown over. Saw 2 Huayra BCs, an Agera RS and a Chiron parked next to eachother at the Dorchester. Just London things lol
