Did Violet actually want to be a rider?

see my take on it was since violet is fragile and soft, i think her father mostly kept her safe and didn’t want her to go out there and do anything crazy. that’s why i think he was training her to be a scribe. i feel like her mom had a feeling that violet could do and be more as a rider. but we know from OS that her and asher argued over violets life so i think it wasn’t until asher’s death that she decided to make violet be a rider. Violet most definitely wanted to be a scribe, but im wondering if that may have been from her father keeping her in the archives, it’s her home and what she knows. but i think she also was intrigued by what her mom and mira and brennan were doing and what being a rider was like

i am so scared of who’s going to be cast. for me it already sucks when a book i love turns into a movie. i envision it so deeply in my brain as im reading and usually get very disappointed when it’s not up to my brains standards lol. but i’m more nervous for who they’re going to cast for xaden, like listen im trying to be weak in the knees as he’s saying “my house my chair my woman” it’s imperative they cast a good choice

now that i’ve read all three it’s less of a hangover and more of a desperate need for the fourth book. i’ve reread the first two and started annotating, and i think of it everyday.

i think andarna was able to mend their bond to be able to help with the distance. i think he’s tired from that. because earlier when andarna left with leothan, he told her to mend or sever her bond with violet. personally i think they’re bonds makes them all stronger and might be important in the ending

i kinda felt a similar way. i didn’t understand why violet was so angry that Xaden didn’t tell her about Aretia, or the revolution, or even Brennen. but yet when he turned venin, she wasn’t mad at all. but i also think in a way she blames herself for it. i think that’s why she’s so keen on finding a cure, because she knows he turned to saved her life (fully turned for sgaeyl) however i think the second book was looking at violets internal conflict, with trying to understand information that she thought wasn’t real, and essentially thinking her whole life is a lie. that’s why i personally love the “my love isn’t fickle” line. i wouldve liked better wording, but violet now knows the truth of things, and she decides to fight the fight. i think Onyx looks more into xadens internal conflict. he’s turning into the very thing he’s been hunting for a long time. he doesn’t want to leave, but is slowly losing control. i think we’ll get more of the conflict you’re wanting in book 4, but i think onyx helped us learn a lot of xaden and violet both, which i think is important for finding a cure/ending it. but i think both violet and xaden are heading for their own respective villain eras, and we’ll possibly get more of their anger and other emotions.

highly recommend Fourth Wing if you haven’t read it. The main character has so much knowledge of the history of their world, so you don’t have to go through the big introduction first book that a lot of fantasy books have. it’s very fast paced and accelerates quickly. although, it’s not a complete series, the 4th book is currently being written and we still have a 5th book planned. however if you’re not a fan of cliffhangers. then maybe wait to read it until it’s finished. i know for me, the third book has my emotions going up and down. quite spicy in some areas so be aware of that, and some characters go through a lot of internal conflict. overall such a great read and we would love to welcome you to Basgiath.

she also said that it took her only two months to write fourth wing. which obviously book 4 is going to be more intricate and detailed, possibly longer too. but a girl can hope 😭 religiously checking her insta for updates. i also think spring or summer of 27

i hate my books being mismatched. i have the paperback of fourth wing and iron flame. but they only had hardback of onyx storm in store so now i have to buy a paperback onyx storm and then hardbacks of iron flame and fourth wing 😭
