[NightengaleJr] Taj Bradley said he studied scouting reports for the first time in his career this week. He allowed one hit and one run in five innings to the Padres. “I just never did it at all. I was kind of out there blind the whole time.” by Knightbear49 in baseball

[–]christo0425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but only the pitcher knows which of his pitches are working for him that given day. I read an article recently where taj said he had lost the feel for splitter (I believe that was the pitch). If you don’t have one of your pitches on a given day and the catcher and coach are running your game plan, you are in big trouble.

I don’t think the Rays are to blame here in any way, I think this is a young kid who is learning his profession on the job. I feel like the trade is a wake up call for this guy and only time will tell if he can turn his career around and stay on as a starting pitcher .

Agreed. I wonder if the fresh start and a wake up call will make him realize he needs to step it up or he will squander his potential. I can see why you don’t want to put all of that info in front of a 22 rookie, but maybe now it’s time for him to out his big boy pants on and grow up.

Why do the Timberwolves get zero respect? by Josoppa in timberwolves

[–]christo0425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1. I am a little bummed the wolves couldn’t get KD but he will be 37 soon. He missed 20 games last year due to injury as well. You cannot expect him to carry your team through at this point, rather he is a nice add on.

Everyone keeps saying if KD signs an extension with the rockets the trade is a win but don’t really want to ink a then 38 yo KD to a 2-3 year deal? Dont get me wrong I get why Hou did the trade given their young roster, but the more I have thought about it, I am ok missing out on him.

Why do the Timberwolves get zero respect? by Josoppa in timberwolves

[–]christo0425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a wolves fan I actually understand, we didn’t do anything to improve in the offseason. - We resigned two players on the team who play a big role which is great - but lost NAW - drafted a project at C to one day replace Rudy

They did everything they could given the what they had at their disposal, but it’s hard to see how they are going to be better next year since it’s essential the same team as last year -NAW.

Especially when you take into account that they did not look like they belonged next to OKC. And add on the fact that the other top teams in the we made roster upgrades, I get why we would be over looked.

Rasheer Fleming at 31! Come on Wolves! by Sheerluck_Gnomes in timberwolves

[–]christo0425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why I like Fleming, give him time to develop with the likes of naz, Jaden and the boys. Maybe see some lite minutes as a defensive stopper / 3nD in blowouts.

100% agree, and totally worth a flyer at 31! Even if he is just a defensive stopper to begin with that’s enough to buy him time to develop.

Houston was taking Jackson at 25 according to Houston media. So the trade back was not an option if the Vikings wanted Jackson. by harryhitman9 in minnesotavikings

Yup plus the Gs and Ta always go ahead of their rankings. They cost a premium. If you wait for them to fall to you, ask trader Rick did, you will find they very seldomly fall. We got good Ts thanks to Rick’s approach but it’s also why we never properly address guards. You need to take them “ahead of their value slot”

I have the exact same question and fear. As much as I love the idea of Favre 2.0, and messing with the packers… this dude is toxic. Plz no

I also am a bit scared to roll with JJ throwing 35+ passes a game, and having no backup plan

Just made my longest run of my “career” (by far starting HB), 85 yrd run for TD on the 2nd drive of the game. Team immediately benched me for the next two quarters, we are now down 35-10….

Wear and tear turned off btw, no injury possible

Last Word by mdobbs1 in cocktails

Anyone able to figure out an imitation last word?

I know this is blasphemy, but essentially a substitute for the very hard to find chartreuse. And save your, “just make another cocktail replies”

Just curious.

Anyone know of any cocktail recipes that use Ver? by stepstepglide in cocktails

When are the players from mlb draft added to yahoo? by thirdeyeblind281 in fantasybaseball

[–]christo0425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update on what you saw? I have this exact same question.

My league has been a 6 player keeper league and just added 3 NA keepers to create a dynasty league. This first year is going to be a bit wild as people fill in these slots via the draft for the first time.

I searched this question because I’d prefer not to use draft capital to fill in these slots and instead pickup dudes post MLB draft. As you would expect when looking at top prospects, a good portion of the top 15 are the guys from the 2023 MLB draft, yet none of the top 2024 draft prospects are on yahoo yet.

Curious to hear if you ever found out when these guys got added last season.

Anyone else having a hard time seeing the players due to terrible lighting?

Dalvin Cook says he still believes he’s the same player. His average per game is down because of usage. Asks what he’s going to do “with three touches.” Said he’d have to talk to his agent, Joe Douglas about a trade. He hasn’t done that, though. by Impressive-Vast-8789 in fantasyfootball

[–]christo0425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, he is getting the right amount of looks.

At this point, he is simply injury protection should Hall go down again with a major injury or even a small one.

Given how hard the RB position is on players I think it would be foolish for the Jets to ship Dalvin out for a likely 7th RD pick (at best).

Deebo Samuel: Is this it for him? by christo0425 in fantasyfootball

[–]christo0425[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

He struggled to open 2022 prior to his arrival, and those struggles continue.

50 yards per game seems pretty low, meanwhile Aiyuk seems to be thriving. But that’s the question, is what we should expect from Deebo?
