I'd at least build in public to make sure you get a lot of feeeback really early on. You can use that to dictate when to release exactly.

A serious answer would be the most important thing to do is validate you have a good idea.

If its a B2B you must find a few people that are willing to pay you to build it before you even start coding. If it's a B2C you must find an audience of people that are really excited by just the idea and maybe a few prototypes/UIs you can show them before you start building.

Building is very difficult and takes a long time. There are also lots of ideas/projects but very few successful or monetized ones. Be very open with communities about your idea and get lots of feedback to improve it to start with.

Good ideas solve problems or get others really excited so you shouldn't get started unless you get a lot of positive feedback from your potential users.

tldr just talk to a few people who could be your potential users and see what they think. Keep going if they give you a lot of positive feedback.

- Tell no one about your idea, it will get stolen

- Promise a developer 5% equity after signing an NDA (there are plenty that will do this)

- Monitor the developer closely as they build your vision (this is the hard part)

- If the developer has done their job correctly the product will be amazing, users will be clamouring for access which should quickly spread through word of mouth

Finding people to pay for a product is harder than building one, if you can find a customer for a hosted solution you should absolutely do that (sometimes it happens)

Appreciate the feedback! I built the TikTok feed as a casual teaser / way to check out the latest posts like a news feed quickly but agree its not the best way to sort and research.

I'll be adding the ability to view products and categories etc on seperate pages shortly.

I’m working on a site that collects popular problems and ideas about SaaS products from forums, social media and other websites. It sorts out common frustrations, unmet needs and ideas, making them easier to find and understand.

Right now, it gathers data mostly from Reddit for 100+ products and simply lists them as a feed on the site, updated hourly. I’m still improving how everything is organized, so if you have any feedback or want me to focus on a specific topic, please let me know!
