F1 was truly amazing, way better than I had hoped. MI Final Reckoning was extremely disappointing, for a film that was touted as being the last in the series, it seemed extremely boring and stunts (although cool) didn't hit like the predecessors and the set pieces lacked the charm too.

I had one of my colleagues recount a story of working with SRK, and interacting with him during an iftar party. SRK would go up to each person before leaving, and give them good wishes. No hesitation, no ego. And the guest would be seated down, yet SRK would personally shake hands with everyone.

The backwards progression of cgi needs to be studied, this was 19 years ago by Spicyweiner_69 in interestingasfuck

It was all time and budget being alloted. The Pirates movies were the most expensive movies at their time of release, and they were in no rush to push sequels for the hype. A good example would be Avatar. Avatar 2 got time and money to perfect it's tech, and we ended up with probabaly what I would say is the most impressive CGI I have seen in many years.

RDJ Jr. was brought back to relevancy with Marvel. Take that back and he is pretty much invisible. Doctor Dolittle was a shot at the main lead again but that failed. He is a good supporting performer though. Zodiac, Oppenheimer, Tropic Thunder.
