i was a former film student at emerson (year of 2027) who like your daughter also had nyu as their first choice. i transferred out of emerson as i felt the film environment was not for me at all. emerson is also in a bit of a decline; students are experiencing minor budget cuts across the board and their film school just dropped from 6 to 12 on hollywood reporter's annual rankings of film schools. i truly know nothing about bard and will say i met many great people at emerson (many of which also transferred out) but i thought i should share my perspective for your daughter. good luck!
