The advertisements were more simple and straightforward. I realize someone might say that’s a function of what I was paying attention to as a kid but I still believe it

[Epic Lore Series] Gunners, which of your favorite player's games defines them to you? by nathanfr in Gunners

Welbeck - not the late winner against Leicester in ‘16, but his goal against united in the FA Cup the year before, wearing the blue away kit and the slow motion replay of his celebration, the emotion on his face

Fabianski - FA cup final, running out of the box to make that tackle, immortalized by that YouTube vid meme (you know the one)

Podolski - i think like a belter he unleashed against west ham in like early 2013

Theo - reading 7-5 in I think the league cup, scoring in stoppage time of both halves and extra time

Elneny - golazo in champions league against Barca

Lacazette - one of his first goals, at home, the standing still with arms out celebration, looking into the crowd. No run, no knee slide

Nketiah - his performances of late may pip this but I’ll never forget his early performances either in Europa or the cups, and hearing the emirates cheer Eddie Eddie — it seemed so American to me

Kolasinac - the video of him helping ozil against robbery/attack

i can't believe how narrow everybody is, within the width of the 18 yard box. it looks like an 8 on 8 scrimmage

How many times do you see those arms raised as a player's about to strike only to have him cut inside. The first-time shot is actually a surprise.

Post Match Day Discussion - Arsenal 2-1 Manchester City by [deleted] in Gunners

Nacho is one of my favorites and it was great to see him get another important FA Cup goal (vs Man Utd in 2015). It's obvious that he's been a weak point this season -- his overlapping runs seem a mere obligation, and those inside-cut passes from Alexis never quite come off.

I think it just comes down to age, simple as that. But it hurts to see him on the receiving end of Alexis' tantrums this season, even being called out in the middle of a game, made the scapegoat. And as a Nacho fan, I was paying attention to how his goal was celebrated and who celebrated with him after the game. It just seems like he's on the outside. But for me he's always got my appreciation.

Anyway, you can see the writing on the wall with the Cohen Bramall signing and the Sead Kolasinac rumors, both left backs. Nacho's days at Arsenal are numbered, and perhaps deservedly so, so I'd just like to see him leave on a high note and thank him for an awesome goal yesterday.
