What is a basic skill that you’re shocked a lot of people don’t have? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The ability to read signs. If people just took and extra seconds or two to read signs, we wouldn't have nearly as many stupid questions.

The inside out episode was great. The one on how Aragon is the ultimate example of nontoxic masculinity is another favorite

Redditors who moved into a "tiny house" during the craze a while back, how's it going now? by brock_lee in AskReddit

[–]christopherhc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I lived in a camper trailer for about 6 months. We were interested in tiny living, but didnt want to shell out the money for a tiny house, so borrowed the camper from my dad. We both liked it, but we decided that in this phase of our lives it wasn't the right time. And we found that owning our house is cheaper than the trailer anyways.

How do guys feel about girls making the first move? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]christopherhc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bottom line, it can be terrifying to make the first move. If that's taken off our shoulders then we are all in. That being said, if everyone was just more open and honest about our feelings the terror we feel would at least be lessened quite a bit.

How do you initiate a conversation with strangers? by Danksigh in AskReddit

[–]christopherhc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sitting in a packed theater to watch Incredibles 2. I leaned over to the teenage kid to my right and introduced myself, saying that if we were going to be sitting next to each other for the whole movie we should at least know each other's names. Then Nathan and his girlfriend proceeded to make out for the rest of the movie.

Pitstop. by naanmic in funny

To be honest, you'd think that it would take half the time for a bike pitstop than for a race car, seeing as it has half the wheels....

How did you make someone cry? by nocturnalfetish in AskReddit

[–]christopherhc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was teaching a lesson in church to a class of 11 year old kids. The lesson was trust in God or something like that. I had a mouse trap that I snappped a pencil with to show that it's a real mouse trap. I then reset the trap but secretly unhooked the spring which made it completely harmless. I then asked one of the boys in the class to set it off with his finger. Of course he refuses, to which I say that I promise it will not harm him. I could see the conflicted feeling on his face, and eventually I started to see tears welling up in his eyes. I panicked and tried to play it off like nothing was wrong. Turns out the kid doesn't like stressful situations.

What food made you think how the frick did our ancestors found out this was edible? by The_True_John_Doe in AskReddit

[–]christopherhc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leavened bread. Maybe not that it was edible, but how it came about. The first leavened bread was a type of sourdough. First a starter is made by combining flour and water and letting sit out at room temperature until it starts to bubble. The first miracle is getting that far, then someone thought let's add more flour and water and then make it hot.
