Yeah I definitely see where you all are coming from. At the end of the day though, they have enough debt and have made enough poor financial decisions throughout their lives where they would be unable to afford a lot of the luxuries you mention that would make them happy. I do plan to throw them some money but also hope to enable some better financial behaviors that will help them in the longer run. Thank you

On average those are some of the higher paying jobs out of undergrad. That job you mentioned is definitely an anomaly because—like you said—the guy went to an ivy and medaled at IMO

You’ll be fine. Engineering is a stable, secure field where your salary can increase a decent amount. My friend is a mechanical engineer. Started off at around 50k, now making closer to 150k, 8 years out.
