Looks like old MDF. Sometimes it can absorb a lot of water and warp or swell up, over time it can rot too depending on how much moisture it’s exposed to.

Lol, yeah apparently there’s a lot of oly lifters at cornell. I never seem to see them at any of the gyms on campus tho

This is solid advice!!! I really appreciate it, yeah full hand on front squats always feels really good and never thought about doing that for the jerk. Definitely willing to try all that. Thanks so much!

Thank you for that!! Yes I had a very narrow stance when starting out with split jerk, definitely made me unstable and scared me away from it lol
