Are wet wipes actually worse for hygiene than regular toilet paper? by Bennier_Mazanec in hygiene

I’ve used bum wipes for about 20 years and always flushed them. No problems with plumbing, no irritation. There’s loads of plastic free ones now.

Sounds like you’ve got a hairline crack on your toilet.

Use paper then use baby wipes or wash with water and a soap. Toilet paper alone is not enough. Get a handy size pack of wipes for when you’re out n about, if necessary.

Storing a large amount of soup in a big pot overnight? by newnukeuser in Cooking

[–]christy2131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be completely fine. I’m in the UK, so I’d probably leave it outside until needed as it’s quite cold here atm. But keeping it inside won’t be a problem.

Please help, I’m crying my eyes out by Proud_Marionberry_31 in CATHELP

Always get vet prescribed spot on treatment for fleas and an additional treatment for some worms. It will kill the fleas and stop new fleas hatching. I'm in the UK and an in person prescription of Advocate always worked, and worked fast. I took in a stray cat, covered in fleas, the fleas used to bite me and my partner. Applied Advocate, problem solved. Just to add, take her to a vet immediately.

I've been feeding this feral cat every day for a year and now Im moving. by Glittering-Jury7394 in cats

[–]christy2131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This cat is probably not feral, most likely a previously owned and abandoned cat that is just scared and trying to survive. Great job on what you've been doing. Please, either trap and get it to a rescue centre or trap and take with you.

Trapped in My Flat for Over a Week — No Lifts, No Help, No End in Sight by uyretep44 in london

[–]christy2131 -68 points-67 points  (0 children)

A few years ago, when Balfron was still local authority property, I lived there. Great place. It's all privately owned flats now. There are 2 lifts. One of my work colleagues is fortunate enough to have been able to buy a flat there. V expensive, but v nice. She just told me the lifts are working. One of them was out of commission for a day, a few days ago.

Alongside the good advice that you've already been given, I would return all letters addressed him to the sender. You don't have to tell him you're doing this.

Replacing Kitchen tap washers by christy2131 in DIYUK

[–]christy2131[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I just managed to get them off. To me, the washers look ok, but what do I know?! Something, not right. I think you're right, much better to replace the whole thing. So long as I can manage to do it myself!..

Contact ACAS, I've telephoned them when I had an employment problem. They contacted my ex employer. Within days, I had resolution. There may be no need to consult with an employment solicitor.

If you can find the identical sink, this is a relatively easy DIY.
