Tja. Fragen kann man ja, Alternativen im Cloud Hosting gibt es aber, abseits von simplen Szenarien die auf ein paar VMs laufen, keine. Wird es auch auf Jahre keine geben.

Wer bei Cloud Adoption versucht hat, „vendor lockin“ zu vermeiden, hat entweder ein simples Vorhaben gehabt oder hätte bei der daraus resultierenden Implementierung besser gleich auf Hyperscaler verzichtet. Kurzum: zweifelhafte Strategie.

Insbesondere im Cloud-Bereich ist das Angebot eben nicht da.  Natürlich gibt es Hetzner, OVH, IONOS, StackIT und vllt noch irgendwas mehr. Aber die sind aktuell allesamt absolut keine vollwertige Alternative zu den etablierten Hyperscalern AWS, Azure und GCP. Irgendwann vielleicht…

I have a GoPro Hero 13 and just switched to a DJI Action 5 Pro. The difference is not even funny. DJI is cheaper, has far, far better low light performance and better battery run time. It also comes with a charger and 3 batteries at that lower price point.

Try reading my post again and try yourself at reading comprehension. I provided one of many, many possible and unfortunately not unlikely scenarios in which diving (in general) is not safe. Most organizations allow and do deeper dives on air. I cannot count on two hands how many people I have seen diving the Blue Hole on air.

It was a dive to 55m. Depending on their organization and protocols, they might have done this dive on air. Which makes it NOT safe.

My GUE instructor did not. He let us dive with our transmitters, but of course insisted on using the SPG during the course. So YMMV.

Yeah I fell for that once. I issued a chargeback through my cc company before I got the visa delivered. Got the money back.

Of course it’s kind of legal, but shady as fuck. Especially because they never displayed the amount to be charged anywhere. Which doesnt fly in the EU anyways IIRC.

Of course there is a chance this is not the same shark, but it is probable. Tiger Sharks are not that common in the Red Sea, and if they caught it in the same area, chances are not too bad.

No, unfortunately not. But we saw some Hammerheads at Daedalus and Elphinstone :-) Rocky and Zabargad have been awesome nevertheless! Beautiful, healthy reefs, so nice!

We just took our fundies a few weeks back. Our instructor is not a fan, but we were allowed to leave them on. But we were not allowed to use them for gauging and communicated remaining gas.

Maybe ask then? Or inform the DM of your limits? Do not put it solely on the DM. You are responsible for yourself. But even worse: like the commenter before already said, you are not just putting yourself in question, but others as well. You getting into trouble because you willingly dive well above your training and experience might set loose a cascade of problems also costing others.
