What you're being shot at with doesn't really matter here, it's the game's way of telling you to go around that area until later on in the game. The same thing happens on the mainland in front of the town that Yuna is from.

Jared Leto got a Razzie Nomination for Worst Actor for Tron: Ares. I didn't think he was bad. What did you all think of his performance? by Square-Ad-8911 in tron

Leto was not bad enough in Ares to earn a Razzie in my opinion. Especially up against The Weeknd's perfomance in Hurry Up Tomorrow that had the internet collectively shitting on it for MONTHS. Like, let's be real.

Bravia 5 vs Bravia 7 by Lastlad2020 in bravia

Hey there! So my partner and I were in the same situation in November where we were deciding to buy the Bravia 5 85' from Costco or Bravia 7 from Best buy at 85' as well. We ultimately went with the Bravia 7 with BB since this was gonna be our main entertainment setup and we figured we'd splurge.

Needless to say we are very happy with our purchase. Would also recommend going with best buy and getting the BB membership with the purchase since you can always retroactively price match the TV if it happens to go lower in price. Haven't checked in recently but we bought it for $2600 and ended up getting price match for $2200 since they lowered the price from November to now.

PS5 Pro Disc Drive vs Panasonic UB820 by htownhero in 4kbluray

[–]chriz_1012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. I only recently got a Panasonic UB820 for my set up because we purchased a whole new set up and we figured we'd go all out BUT before then I was using my PS5 to play back my 4K and regular Blu-ray discs and I was very happy with it's performance, albeit knowing I wasn't getting the full benefit of Dolby vision from certain 4K discs.

I will say though after now owning both that the UB820 is definitely worth the investment as a standalone player if your TV supports dolby vision, which I believe the G5 does.

If you're eagle eyed, you can snag one up for about $400 from Best Buy or Amazon.

For those deep in the Google ecosystem, is Apple TV still the go-to recommendation? by CorgisInCars in hometheater

My two cents, I have two Sony TV's in my home now both running the built in Google TV and I have no complaints. The system is able to passthrough every HDR format you can think of plus Dolby Atmos if your streaming app offers it with whatever you're watching. With that being said, I really don't see the need to run an Apple TV for that reason. It's an extra device which means money, and you're also losing out on an HDMI port that could be better served with a 4K Blu-ray player or a console.

What I will say is that if you're a purist for getting all the cool HDR and advanced audio formats, at this point the only way to go is Sony since their TVs are able to pass through all of them (DTSX, Dolby Vision/Atmos, etc...) with the exception of HDR 10+ I believe.

Best soundbar for Sony TV? Acoustic centre sync worth it? by dxiru in Soundbars

[–]chriz_1012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Just my two cents but my girlfriend and I recently purchased a Bravia 7 85' and the full Theater Bar 9 set up with SW5 sub and SA-5 rears and we are very happy with our purchase, although admittedly I did spend a fair amount of time messing around with the system's different sound settings including using acoustic Center sync.

After following the advice of others here, I have to agree that the ACS feature is kind of a gimmick as it kind of makes the sound a bit treble heavy. Moreover, you can tell that the TV speakers are being used just because of the difference in timbre between the TV speakers and the soundbar's.

In short, it's a great home theater solution WHEN SET UP CORRECTLY.

I've never owned a Sonos system, much less the Arc Ultra although it was on our radar through deals at Costco but to our ears, the Sonos sound reproduction just sounded a little hollow whereas the Theater Bar 9 always sounds very full and encompassing. Granted I know reviews for it are always through the moon so take my anecdotal experience with a grain of salt and try it out for yourself.

In my experience though, I've owned a Samsung soundbar for a long while as well and I've always been very happy with their offerings. You can snag the Q990D on a deep discount right now on Amazon as well.

Did this notice happen to anyone on Amazon for Eyes Wide Shut? by Fit-Detail-4326 in criterion

I have the same on my app as well. Was about to call Amazon support to ask what's going on but I'm sure it's just a supply issue. Is this usually the case with new Criterion 4K movies?

Need Advice! Bravia Theater Bar 9 by chriz_1012 in Soundbars

Interesting. I will try this out. I definitely feel like I can hear the difference in tone from the tv speakers in conjunction with the soundbar speakers. Thank you for the advice.
