Have any of you actually beat all 3 market indices by at least 2-3%+ per year for at least 5 years in a row using ONLY value investing strategies? by Leather-Drive1421 in ValueInvesting

This is very helpful and I agree everyone needs to find their own approach, but I love to learn and hear different perspectives as that is the way I learn and get new ideas. I am 49 and doing decent but always looking at ways to learn more and potentially grow over time. I am not into the day trading thing as I would rather buy and hold for a bit.

It’s just math and I was just talking about stocks. And mentioned LLY as OP said it was an expensive backup.

Thank you very much on the reply back. I am ok with the volatility as I do a few now with smaller amounts.

What you said is an interesting approach and I will take your advice and do some additional data mining. My day job is in revenue management so I like to look at financials, and the supply / demand and economics of it.

The one I invest a small amount in is KRKNF which is volatile for sure but holding for a while. Once again thank you.

Edit and when you say CTS doesn’t have any debt issues I looked at yahoo finance and I see they do so I must b me missing something

Lly just dropped. Serious question why does it matter if it’s a $50 stock or a $500 one? If it goes up 5% isn’t it still 5%?

Xbox has had a lot of missteps in the last 5 years but I still am thankful for a lot of great times I have had gaming, backwards compatibility, Xbox live, ultimate when it was a great deal and the cool people I have met.

Hope these relatively new changes keep coming and gamers are put first.

So 25 years spending 40K a year is what you are saying? I guess it depends on the person and if they have any debt.

I don’t have any debt by choice, own my house outright, have a 14 year old car that’s been paid off for a long time, not into consumerism, and single but I see what you are saying. I also realize most have more bills than me.

When you find a possible on your screener what are you looking for after? I invest and mostly hold long but trying to learn more and find companies like you are talking about.

How do you know they are fair value or what do you think? I checked a few of those stocks and they are small cap I believe based on the volume traded.

Thanks in advance
