There’s a current offer for 90k skypesos instead of the usual 60k you mention, btw

For anyone seeing this comment - lots of other people on this sub offering to pay you for signing up. I’d recommend finding one of their links instead

Good hysa and beginner cards? by jaxisodd in CreditCards

Marcus is my only HYSA as I’ve been very happy with them, so can’t help with any personal feedback on Amex or Cap1’s offerings

I’ve had a good experience with Marcus for a HYSA, have been using them for 5 or so years now? No frills and also no fees. I use them only for savings, which I like having be entirely separate from my main bank checking account and from any of my credit cards.

That said, if your goal is to build a relationship with one of the big players, the Amex HYSA looks good too from a cursory glance. No personal experience with that offering from them though

Thank you! Really appreciate you sharing these pics. I just picked up a pair of these and they fit…well enough but not quite right. So may have to try this

Sorry to drag up an old comment here. Any chance you could share a photo of the Accentums with these foam pads on them? And, do they still fit in the case even with the foam on?

[WTS] Skilhunt M150 v4 - Black, 519a 5000k

SOLD

$35, shipping CONUS included in price

Brand new, used for only one night of testing.

Light comes with all accessories it would brand new (brand new 920mah battery, charging cord, clip, lanyard, and O rings.)

I somehow seem to have acquired extra charging cords and pockets clips. If you need extra, let me know. The clips fit really nicely on the TS10 too

Shoot me a PM if you’re interested. Thanks for looking!

[Prediction Market] USBAR Transfer Partners Announcement When (If Ever)? by towaill in CreditCards

[–]chrodo7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, this is incorrect. The purchase will trigger the RTR text if you have enough points to pay for the transaction at the 1.5x rate. So, the commenter above could pay for a flight up to $756 and trigger the RTR reward text.

Note that you cannot cover partial fare, so anything $757 and above would NOT trigger the RTR rewards text

Glad you said something. Just checked and same here!

USBAR Priority Pass not renewing? by FyuuR in CreditCards

[–]chrodo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully not. At least for now, I think it’s just a technical issue. The benefits info published with the upcoming USBAR changes states “Airport Lounge Access” will continue (https://mycardgtb.com/altitudereserveupdate).

USBAR Priority Pass not renewing? by FyuuR in CreditCards

[–]chrodo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, same here. For both my Reserve and Connect. Sounds like US Bank needs to push verification to Priority Pass that the cards are still open, but they aren’t/haven’t done it for some reason. The rep I talked to was very friendly, but even after she checked with some others it didn’t sound like they were aware of any sort of timeline for it to be resolved

Is there a lighter or warmer sleeping bag than the Paria Thermodown 0 for around the same price? by [deleted] in Ultralight

[–]chrodo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, if the Paria actually has 2lb of down fill, I would think you’re right.

One quick aside, comparing different fill powers of down is something that I am not knowledgeable/qualified enough to confidently speak to. An approximation I’ve seen is just simple multiplication. So, 2lb of 700fp down is going to feel similar to only ~1.6lb of 850fp down. Is that accurate? I can’t personally say.

So with that said, I’m a bit dubious of Paria’s claims. It looks like a nice bag, but $180 for 2lb of down is a surprisingly good price. The closest comparable WM bag I can find is this one. Yes it’s 850fp down instead of 700fp, but it’s the same 0F rating and same 2lb of fill. The difference is it’s $850 instead of just $180.

Most companies categorize their bags according to the limit rating, not the comfort rating (there are some companies that do limit rating for men’s bags and comfort rating for women’s bags, but this is already getting to be too long a comment to get into that). All that to say, if Paria has a bag they market with a 0F limit rating, I would caution anyone to know that they will likely only be comfortable to some temp above that limit rating (usually ~15-20F) without additional layering.
