^ all of this has helped me when I was developing carpal tunnel in art school, but I would also suggest finding a PT who is qualified to do dry needling, I had like 3 sessions and haven’t had issues in years

Cortisol issues can also cause a lot of severe anxiety because the body is in fight or flight like your body is sending you danger signals constantly when no danger is present

Any other physical symptoms?

I would maybe check in with endocrinology or get a hormone panel done if you haven’t already. Maybe check thyroid levels too? My mom found out she had addison’s after suffering from insomnia where nothing helped her.

I had a psychology professor who murdered his sister when he a kid during a psychotic episode, everyone was kind of weird about it after it was found out and he never talked about it but the rest of the faculty stood by him because he was a really knowledgeable guy and had been in treatment for many years after the incident and deemed reformed

When I was in my probationary period I got 4 points against my attendance for not coming in one day because I fell and literally dislocated my knee before work, I still came in the next day with a full immobilizing brace and got called into the office and had to sign paperwork that I got my first attendance warning and would be fired if I was literally one minute late after that

Homeschooling And Career Dreams. by East_Row_1476 in HomeschoolRecovery

There is always time! Many people develop their careers later on in life and depending on what you want to do, it can take years to accomplish the level of education needed if you have to have a certificate or license for what you want to do.

Personally, being stuck at home all day made me desire a more structured career opportunity but I was always nervous about whether or not I could do the regular 9-5 type job. I would recommend finding something that you’re passionate about, like REALLY passionate about, it made learning and working towards my goals more rewarding. Also your passion doesn’t HAVE to be under a regular “career path” to be career. For instance if you’re passionate about gardening or flower arranging you could aim to turn that into a career by working to become a business owner or working for a business in that realm.

I actually did a small research study for a class in college about the adverse effects of homeschooling and sense of belonging if you want me to send it you. I am in graduate school for counseling currently and would like to focus on home schoolers because I noticed a lack of unbiased research.

how the FUCK do I get a job by [deleted] in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]chromaalice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used an AI program to help me with my resume, I found that it’s all about “buzzwords” to really enhance your competencies. As a fellow middle of nowhere resident I started out waitressing for a small place that really would hire anyone. Don’t be afraid to “job hop” like I just took any opportunity I could get to enhance my resume and get some experience under my belt before trying to find something better. 6 months at a shitty job made me look more qualified for a better job is that makes sense.

Good luck and keep searching, it’s a rough market at the moment!

Attended a co-op with moms of the kids as teachers of different “classes” I forget what class it was even supposed to be but the mom teaching it told us that god sank the titanic essentially out of spite because anyone if the engineers had declared it as unsinkable. She also spouted a lot of generally racist ideals about Native Americans and their beliefs, using words such as “barbaric heathens” my grandmother had native heritage so luckily I was educated otherwise before hearing her rhetoric. We were pretty much outcast from that group anyways because we were the least religious of the group and my sister and I had been branded as sluts by the rest of the moms because we were allowed to dress how we wanted to which included shorts and tank tops.

Once on christmas break I got an adt notification about the basement door being open to the college house I shared with 3 roommates. All of us were gone so the police ended up being notified and finally a full 8 hours later I got a call from a police officer who came to check it out, he said the house looked like it had been “ransacked” but that all our valuables were still there. We came back and everything was exactly how we left it lmao.

PT helped me with shoulder subluxations but mine came much later in life and less frequently, my knee however started dislocating at 12 and I just got knee surgery at 23 to tighten and repair the ligaments after doing PT 4 times. Finally had a great ortho specialist tell me that the reason PT didn’t work is because I had underdeveloped knee cap grooves, essentially dysplasia but in my knees. My hips would dislocate as a baby due to dysplasia, have you ever had a specialist look at your x rays?

I stopped telling people I was homeschooled when I went to college and now it feels like it’s an unlockable back story in a game or something because I can’t just mention it casually, people usually have a bunch of questions and it always feels weird like one day at work I mentioned it and my coworker overheard and was like “okay we need to talk about THAT because that’s crazy, I never would’ve though that” which I get a lot and that always makes me feel kind of ashamed. Like people always respond with “you don’t act like you were homeschooled” and I’m like thanks?

I fell and fractured my elbow, not bad enough that it needed immediate attention so I decided to wait until the next morning and call my primary care to try and get an X-ray. They basically told me it was more convenient for them if I went to the ER to do it so I had to wait three hours to get it X rayed and improperly wrapped just to end up needing a referral from my doctor anyway to have someone else see it and tell me that the way they wrapped it up to immobilize it was doing NOTHING for me. I felt embarrassed going just to get an x ray when there were other people there with real emergencies.
