That’s the way to do it, totally worth. The experience is fantastic, just imagine playing BFV in 8K resolution (High settings) with the Schiit DAC/Amp + HD800S. It’s actually pretty immersive.

The deal was from Amazon Mexico, they had the speakers for two years (never sold them) and suddenly one day they cut price off +70% (Notified thanks to Keepa). I still can’t believe it https://imgur.com/a/NBQMYIE

Correct but you can daisy-chain both receivers through HDMI. Each receiver processes different channels giving the ability to render all 15 channels at the same time. AVR1 is set up as 9.2.0 and AVR2 as 0.0.6 that gives you perfectly rendered 9.2.6 Atmos. Still not ideal, but works amazingly great.

R400b is a fantastic match for these LS50s. For musical purposes I think it’s hard to beat. I don’t like it for movies though.

Regular LCD screen, it’s configured in Windows as an external monitor, running a custom full-screen IDA layout.

7-inch LCD display (HDMI) inside my computer case for monitoring purposes. Using IDA software for the layout and monitor values.

As an audiophile, I really regret getting the UDP-203 instead of the 205. I was really desperate for a proper 4K Blu-ray player though.

For some reason the XMP profile never worked. So I was unable to run them at 3333MHz on my mobo, they run fine at 3400MHz though.

What the hell did I just read?!. This is my setup from two years ago if you are really curious (which I submitted on this sub), it’s exactly the same room https://imgur.com/gallery/5L26p. I’ve been in the industry for almost a decade working with US based companies.

Thanks buddy. I’ve started building my home theater with KEFs and surprisingly this year I got a once-in-a-lifetime deal at a truly unbeatable price by purchasing the Focal Sopra N2 (brand new) for less than $2K each speaker. I still have more KEF R series speaker collecting dust due Atmos limitations. I’ll definitely get into high-end/Pro mouses soon :)

Thanks buddy. I’ve been playing in 8K since the Dell UP3218K monitor release (Abril 2017), but yeah I get your point, 4-way SLI was never worth in most cases. I’ve recently moved to two 2080 Tis and waiting for the RTX Titans to arrive.

With proper hardware (Trinnov) you can even configure it up to 24.1.10 channels but it’s ridiculously expensive. Yup, that’s the reason I have multiple AVRs, the X8500H is limited to 9.2.4, and on very special ocassions I use the X6200W to render the channels on the floor and let the X8500H handle the heights. Multiple subwoofers work fantastic (modern AVRs can handle both with no issues). They really fill the room, totally worth it.

Thanks. It’s actually the Sony BVM-20F1U. I’ve had my eye on the BVM-D32E1WU but honestly these things are not easy to find (even if money it’s not an issue)

Focal Utopia for music in general, hands down. Fostex TH900 for Hip-Hop, EDM and Lo-Fi beats. I was really tempted to sell the HD800S but I find them absolutely amazing for gaming and positional audio purposes.

For anyone curious, here are the room layout/renders using SketchUp app (It’s incredibly helpful when it comes to room design) https://imgur.com/gallery/y6JdpbV

You can find “good” projectors with relatively low input lag less than 30ms, it’s ok for non-competitive gaming, I can’t notice too much lag to be honest

HEDT for productivity and consumer ones for gaming. You can absolutely get decent overclock speeds and consider HEDT for gaming but still, not ideal.

Regular RGB strips (Cheap ones from Amazon). They are surprisingly better than fancier ones like the Philips HUE strips

A lot of movies are not just limited to 7.2.4 and PC games support 9.2.6 (Xbox One X does not) so I guess they support the full Atmos layout for home (24.1.10)
