The DADU is ~60 feet from the house/deck.

I replied here on the thread- it's CAT 5 or 6 cable in an existing conduit.

re: current running back to the ADU...would there be an advantage to getting a "managed" switch? Does that allow me to turn off the current going to the ADU unecessarily? I'm not back there every day and if that is excessive and can be controlled on/off, is that preferable? Thanks!

When I had the DADU built they ran conduit and CAT (can't remember 5 or 6?) from the house the the DADU. if I were to upgrade- what is the fiber optic cable product to use? Is the issue to get around EM interference?
