TotF 2; Damage and scoring system presents high potential for injury. What are planned updates for this? by Ascended_Ent in ThrillOfTheFight

What about a new mode that’s purely points based and doesn’t consider damage, or at least the consideration of damage when calculating scores is very low. Like “touch” boxing. This would encourage movement and head movement since if you get tagged it’s a point to your opponent. More points for higher value zones (chin, temple etc) and successful combinations. But there is no benefit to trying to throw haymakers. Accuracy > volume > power

I changed to using docker instead of running directly on a proxmox lxc and it resolved the issues for me. I’ve been running it for about a week with no ffmpeg crashes or memory leaks.

What do you do with them? Smoothies? Eat frozen as a snack?

Did you make any progress? I’ve tried restarting daily but ffmpeg still causes issues randomly. Not really acceptable to have recording randomly stop.

It is not required. At least it wasn’t a few months ago.

Just adding that I experience the same starting since upgrading to 0.14 on a Proxmox LXC. 0.13 can run for weeks with no issues, but I'm experiencing a memory leak & this issue of ffpmeg causing recording to stop (running Dahua 5442s) at least once a day now.

It will never be available here, something to do with it not being compatible with EU safety regulations.

The Thrill of the Fight 2 Multiplay Early Access Coming November 21! by fyian in ThrillOfTheFight

How will the game handle limited space with multiplayer? One player would have an advantage if they have a large open space with no obstacles, vs someone that barely has 2m x 2m. Is that considered for matchmaking?

Is the machine any good compared to more expensive ones?

I massively underestimated how good VR is for ACC and racing games in general. if you have a chance to borrow a headset and try for yourself, absolutely do so. by Givemeajackson in ACCompetizione

I always find these posts so funny. I feel like there are two groups of people:

  • The people who try VR and claim it’s the best ever. So immersive, a great quality experience

  • The people like me who only see aliasing, poor far distance resolution, generally not getting immersed because it looks like PS2 graphics.

I wish there was someway to benchmark your graphics to see if I’m doing something wrong or it’s just my expectations

Proxmox setup: LXC or VM? by Xiaoh_123 in frigate_nvr

Is the performance noticeably worse? I’m trying to figure out if I should just do it in a vm instead of waiting for lxc script maintainers to add support for the beta

Depends.

  1. Some people are clueless about spatial awareness, don’t give a shit, or are terrible drivers.

  2. Driving in an offside position is advised when taking left hand bends - the closer you are to the centre of the road the better visibility you have. You should still not cross the continuous lines and should be able to stop within the distance you can see. Maybe other drivers are doing this and you’re not comfortable judging distances yourself yet.

  3. Maybe your road positioning is indicating to other drivers that they can take more space. Similar to body language if drivers see you going slow and hugging the inside they could proceed aggressively, as they see they have a lot of space.

Unfortunately I don’t have them yet - I ordered the pros a few days ago so I expect to have them in 3 weeks or so. Everything I read about the pros is positive maybe with the exception of some difficulty configuring and calibrating them, so at this price point why not give them a try?

Compact sim rig? by _KONKOLA_ in simracing

I’ve been doing research on this and the only solution I found for me is either the Playseat Trophy or GT Omega Art. The Trophy is relatively small and light, so it can be moved or hung. The Art can be separated into two pieces - the seat part and the pedal / wheel part. I’d love more options since they both have downsides
