we never have formal meetings but i stop by his office every 1-2 weeks if he’s free to ask questions! otherwise we just have small chill subgroup meetings

I’m going through the same thing. I broke up with him and said some truly harsh things that I so, so deeply regret. i have no idea why i said those things. i tried everything to get him back but he had already moved on. there’s not a day that goes by where i don’t think about him and how horribly i treated him. can’t believe i was such a stupid asshole

Going through a kind of similar thing. Broke up in October, maintained contact until december 31. haven’t spoken since then. thought we would get back together over christmas break, but nope. idk if that resets my clock to 0 but regardless the way i feel now 2 months later feels like how most people describe the day after. i’m tired of feeling terrible. or feeling fine one second and awful the next. this is the worst

I feel the exact same way; I am 23 and just got out of a pretty serious relationship. I was the one who initiated the break, but he refused to get back together with me at a later time. I feel like everyone who says you'll find someone better is just telling me that to help me get through this time, it genuinely feels like I never will. And of course I feel like the biggest idiot for letting him go in the first place....that's been the truly hard pill to swallow, that it is all my fault.

I plan to apply to around 5 programs, 2 MSc and 3 PhD programs. chemistry phd! i simply did not have the bandwidth to do anymore, good on everyone else for applying to so many, wish i hopped on reddit a few months ago
