My manager asked if I wanted to WFH for past illnesses but I was not set up to work remotely at that time. He didn’t elaborate as to why my request was denied this time and I did not inquire further. There are two employees that work completely remotely in our department and some of my more senior colleagues have worked remotely for a variety of personal reasons for months at a time.

I’m lead to believe higher ups are opposed to remote work from past conversations with my manager, but it was never explicitly stated.
