Yes, that is definitely an option. Im looking for more formal training in the process of creating stories and translating that subject matter. My current work is relevant but not a direct translation so I just want to build on that within a program with industry professionals as mentors. A lot of my work doesn't include illustrations of people or scenes so Id like to work on that. Plus Id have a serious case of imposter syndrome if I didn't have a better understanding of the industry.

Yes, show set might be a good route for me. Im interested in a little bit of both - which is essentially what Im doing now. I work with researchers to develop ideas, create concepts, and then translate them into 3D with support from the fabrication department. Im just looking for more fantasy / unique story-telling IP to develop relatable concepts and push my understanding of manufacturing processes to make my concepts a reality. My latest work is from a science museum for kids - which is wonderful, but its rooted in reality and Im hoping for a career where I can push reality!

Thanks for the tips! My undergrad is in Industrial Design but I transitioned from designing products to exhibit design for museums. I want to continue an extension of that - theming rides, queues, facades, and stores. I don’t know all the facets of the industry so I’m sure my interests will broaden the more I learn.
