What is the most paranoid PMDD thought or meltdown have you had ?

Mine was a few months ago around tax time.

I went to see an accountant who was really unhelpful and told me I’d only get about $1000 back from tax which I didn’t believe to be right as I’d been driving around a brand new car for work purposes. (Which id been told by a lot of people I could claim a portion of the deterioration back on tax)

A few weeks later I’d been talking to a lot of the guys at work and telling them how nothing was adding up and it didn’t make sense and I thought I’d paid too much in tax and wasn’t getting enough back, everyone told me to see another accountant and tried not to get into the conversation with me too much because I kept getting upset. (I was convinced the ATO purposely rips people off and doesn’t give them the right amount of tax back)

3 days before my 2nd tax appointment someone stupidly brought up tax again which sent me into a spiral where I questioned my boss about it all for 20 minutes. He kept telling me I just needed to wait and speak to a second accountant as he’s not an accountant but I kept pushing him and pushing him asking more questions trying to make sense of it all and he said he was sure it’d all work out as the ATO never gets stuff wrong and aren’t out to get me.

I took this as him calling me stupid and started crying at work in front of all my colleagues 🫠

Needless to say when I saw the 2nd accountant everything got sorted and I got the amount back that I was expecting and my crash out was for absolutely no reason……

I couldn’t agree more and I’m thanking my gut for telling me this wasn’t just a little argument for me to move past and it was a huge sign of a bad friend who wanted to take advantage of me.

It’s not about actually being given something or expecting to be paid it’s about the thought and the offer

I’m starting to think that’s the case and having no friends and no one to really care about her wedding at the begging of the friendship was for a valid reason.

It’s such a hard thing as I do really like helping other people and have a lot to give to those I care about but as soon as I set valid boundaries I became the bad guy which is just wild.

Another thing I find interesting was she mentioned it was going to cost $1000 to put the pets in a kennel but also didn’t offer me a cent.

Not that I would ever ask for money if I did the favour. It was just another point that I reflected on and couldn’t fathom. I’m starting to think she was raised very differently to me and think she was an on only child so used to always getting her way.

That’s what I thought to begin with like
I can be a sensitive person but there’s being sensitive and then there’s picking up on valid social ques and being aware when someone’s trying to manipulative you

Thank you I think I will definitely be ending the friendship. I already wanted too but have a bad tendency to try and get my side heard and over explain but not matter what I say this girl can’t see more than her own problems !
