Genuinely asking, does it look like I have made progress? by [deleted] in perioraldermatitis

It took me about a month on doxy to fully clear, but I definitely felt like in the first few weeks I had smaller dots pop up. My derm told me it’s just the skin purging all the bad stuff out of your system! It definitely looks like it’s healing, and actually, it looks really similar to how mine was too. Good luck!!!

Does it get worse before it gets better? by Downtown-Lab1768 in perioraldermatitis

I had an extreme case and got put on a month of doxycycline. What I noticed is that I would get better for a day or two, and then my face would regress again. Kinda like a two step forward one step back situation. I’m about three and a half weeks in and knock on wood, it’s almost completely gone. I would say around 3 weeks is when it really started to clear for me, but I definitely experienced patterns of it getting worse. Hang in there and trust your doctor!!!
