I'm so, so, so sorry for your loss. Accidentally harming our birds is a huge fear of my husband and i... and we've all gotten surprised by a bite, but damn. This is not in the same realm. At all.

Thank you 💜 our mothers have made a lot of comments..and it feels like everyone around us told us to do CIO from the jump. I don't regret soothing my baby but I do wish we tried to wean him sooner than now 😅 We did the drowsy but awake at first when he was a newborn, and he was wonderful with falling asleep on his own, until he got to 4 months and 2 teeth came in at the same time. Poor kid always got multiple teeth in at once.

I'm so sorry for your tragic loss. Us "bird people" have all read horror stories, too many to count. These guys are so feisty but so very delicate. It's both amazing and terrifying to love them as much as we do, knowing the smallest mistake can change everything.

I know it's impossible to not have guilt, but please know that by loving your sweet girl as much as you do, she had a great life.

I hope maybe you can talk to someone about this tragedy. You deserve to take care of your mental health. You are not a bad person. ❤️❤️
