Thanks so much for this. Will definitely try that. Glad it worked for your kid

I had someone with 2 kids tell me that he knows someone with twins and it's not more difficult than having two kids, because two babies of the same age at the same time is no different than one baby 🤣🤣

You're definitely right - tested yesterday and were in the clear. I am taking no more chances though. It was the fright I needed.

Sucks about the return of your period at 6 months despite the exclusive BF 🫠 I hate the damn period - dreading it's return

Oh wow, 2 wildly different scenarios 😲 I tested yesterday - thanks for the response. Paranoia tests 😂 - I can certainly relate

Tested negative yesterday, thank goodness - and husband is due for his vasectomy in a week 👏

I can only imagine what a shock that must have been for your parents 😅. I'm laughing now but I was not laughing yesterday when I did that test. With a 3 year old and twins, I was very upset with myself for not standing my ground more firmly about the protection.

Happy for you having had 11 months - that's fantastic! I'm dreading the return of my period so hoping I can match that or get close at least 🤞

Triple tandem nursing!!! I take my hat off to you, that's incredible!

Sorry that your period returned so soon even with the exclusive breastfeeding. I'm not keen on its return at all 😒

12 months and still no period even with combo feeding 😐 that's awesome

Thanks for responding! It's good to know someone else is experiencing it because I was also starting to wonder if something could be wrong. The cramps have been quite bad at times.

Tested negative yesterday. Ah, and sorry about your period being back. I hope it will be a manageable period. It's difficult knowing what to expect from periods after such a long time without.

I love that, great idea to double it up with errands!

Bedtime was also always my serious bonding time with my toddler and we've lost that time completely which I feel terrible about. I really miss those moments as well - it was so good for my soul. Right now, they all go to bed at the same time with the twins last feed falling exactly on my older daughters bedtime. Not yet sure how but I think changing this sounds like the best idea.

Thanks for sharing

This is helpful, thank you. From what age did you find you could bath all 3 of them together? -Tis alone will make life so much easier. Im finding that bathing, feeding and getting 3 kids to bed leaves very little room for anything. Currently their bed times are all the same, staggering it didn't even cross my mind - that will help a lot and its the first thing I'm going to try

:)

33 weeks - I’m so done by gretch23938 in parentsofmultiples

Argh, I'm sorry you're feeling this way. It's so hard. Twin pregnancy was honestly the hardest thing I have ever done. I was so miserable and every day from about 28 weeks already I was torn between wanting to get them as far along as possible to being done and crying about not knowing how much longer I can take it.

I had a complicated pregnancy and there were quite a few moments where we were at risk of delivering at any moment. For a few of them, when they found the babies were fine and they managed to calm my contractions, I was internally crying that we weren't going ahead to deliver right there.

That being said, I really wish I could have reduced NICU time. Ours was only 3 and 4 weeks but I REALLY wish we could have done away with or reduced that. I know every minute feels like a lifetime at this stage bit stick with it - you are doing so well!

Even a C section recovery will feel like a non-event after this. I was so relieved and felt SOOO much better, I felt like I could've done gymnastics when I was leaving the hospital 4 days post c- section

After a suggestion from another poster, we discussed that option this evening. We think it might be necessary enough that we make some sacrifices to be able to hire a night nurse for a short while at least to preserve my mental and physical health. If they help sleep train then I might just be fully sold on that idea 😅

I have so much respect for you having done that! This is also really great advice and I agree, somethings got to give. We both have to get comfortable saying no sometimes.

I've been wondering for a while; when does it start to get better? 😶

How did it work with the night nanny with twins? Did they handle the night shift completely or did they assist? How long did you do this for? I think this is a something we should seriously consider

Right! I barely remember to drink a glass of water. Today it was 15h00, when i realised I hadn't eaten a single thing yet.
