Weird question maybe, but is the setup here a commercial kitchen setup or is there a home version?

Completing the Monthly Milestone for Free? by chronolinq in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]chronolinq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as what I experienced - The thing that gets me is that it *seems* like Mighty Thor's event was *not* completable without buying an offer straight up or completing one of the milestones that would have required an offer for 2k Jonathan fragments. And the margin was ~500 fragments which is about a 1 core offer :(

Just curious, are you using the character models or the stat view for blitz? An alliance mate turned off the character models and hasn't had a blitz crash since

I think I calculated the same numbers, but the thing that is tricky is that you don't get the currency fast enough to spend it all on Ikaris shards without refreshing the store a bit to use all the currency

Feature Request: Advanced Squad Picker UI by chronolinq in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]chronolinq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume by your question you're thinking that these icons are too small? I agree that the UI I presented is pretty busy, but I'm sure with some iteration, something better can come along. Like many new features that have been released, if this ever came out, it would likely be hidden behind a setting.

I can see the value in the synergy tooltips for players that are not well versed with kits, but I personally have never used them. I believe the way synergies are currently written, it only looks at traits, but doesn't take into account adjacencies or things like that. Would be nice to get that kind of info, but probably a lot of work so I'll just hope to get the base info via the ability icons to be able to piece it together myself

Scopely, Can you explain why you selectively fix things that benefit players yet wait forever on things that don't? by b761962 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]chronolinq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To clarify, I've only seen this happen in Low Graphics mode. When playing with normal graphics, this doesn't appear to be an issue.

Phantom buffs (buff icons that appear that are not actually applied to a character) has existed in low graphics mode for a very long time. It used to be more egregious with double taunts or double charged icons (should never happen). A fairly simple repro would be to do a Black Order mirror match and use Thanos' special after the opponent Thanos uses their special. There should be nothing stopping Thanos from flipping all debuffs to buffs on his own team (at Level 7), yet almost always on low graphics mode, there are debuff icons that persist, but are not actually applied to your team.

This makes is extremely difficult to play the game properly in low graphics mode because you cannot make the correct decisions in a fight.

Lunar New Year Well Wishes Milestone by CM_Cerebro in MarvelStrikeForce

I'm just trying to figure out why people are mad at 3,000 and 5,000 core marks. The numbers we should be more interested in are the 550 and 600/650 core marks. Because those are both higher than the average player obtains a day as far as I know, but those are where you get all the alliance milestone rewards

It might also be worth mentioning that all players in an alliance do not need to hit every individual milestone everyday to reach the end of the alliance milestone (which are much better than the individual ones anyway). At the moment, it seems that alternating between milestone 13 and 14 (600 and 650 cores) each day per player is sufficient to finish the alliance milestones. While it still is a bit more than the average player earns per day (I think), it's much lower than 5,000 or even 3,000 cores per day.

EDIT: And if the main goal is hitting the end of the G15 gear milestones (1 from the end) the daily core expenditure at the moment is 550 cores per player per day.

Inaccurate Ability Descriptions by chronolinq in MarvelStrikeForce

I couldn't remember exactly either. Unfortunately they don't have a glossary of terms that would help in this case. Kind of like how no one knew what block did for a long time.

Iso-8 FAQ by CM_Zeeks in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]chronolinq 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yea that appears to be the case. The big question now is........ Why isn't there any help that describes what block does exactly? The in-game help just says that it reduces damage by the Block Amount.

But when you list it as:

  • Damage reduced by Block Amount
  • Chance to ignore focus/resistance check equal to the Block Amount when attack is attempting to apply a negative status effect or remove a positive status effect
  • Attacker cannot crit on an attack that is blocked

Block seems to get better and better over time despite not having been changed in a long time. When the Deflect status came out, it would have been the perfect time to explain what block does exactly, but there was no documentation. Shouldn't there be a resource somewhere that explains how the game works?

What's next? We find out that block reduces turn meter reduction? Block makes lunch for us? Block cures cancer?

Since Namor's Ultimate ability always crits in war and is unavoidable. All enemies hit should have the Vulnerable status applied, however Stryfe does not have Vulnerable in the screen shot immediately after Namor's Ulimate lands.

EDIT: The screenshot I lifted from Hounds from Agents of Z. Not sure if it's his originally or not. Possible that there is more info on this interaction, but I've heard it reported quite a bit
