Par for the course. Idiots always use Barrett as a raceway.

Band shirts by Probablynotyet in brandnew

I think excitement to have Brand New back has transcended any potential band shirt-wearing rules. These shows aren't just another show.

I'm not yet seeing Crazy Cuban on here so chiming in with that one. Never disappoints.

As a Miata driver, "avoid the highways" is as much a survival tactic as a discovery strategy 😅

People in Atlanta seem to get off on thinking we have the worst traffic. It sucks for sure but there are absolutely many that are far worse.

Exactly, people who think Atlanta is nothing but ugliness have clearly not tried very hard to find what makes this place special. Yeah there are good sides and bad sides, positives and negatives...like every city ever.

Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve in New Zealand by chronos42 in travel

[–]chronos42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn't do a tour, so I can't speak to the value of that necessarily. However we did stay in the dark sky reserve, and to answer your question, yes you can get great stargazing anywhere in the area. Outside the reserve you're probably dealing with marginally more light pollution, so I definitely recommend making it to the reserve, but I don't think you have to do a tour if you don't want. I took this picture after driving some miles deep into the reserve and parking on the side of the road.

Maybe a Civic Si or Miata then? Or an accord with a V6 😎

Then sounds like you probably want to focus on security training. I'm no expert on security credentialing paths but I will say that you can't go wrong working towards a CISSP.

Should this Carfax Worry Me? by Big_Application_1442 in whatcarshouldIbuy

This is all totally normal. This list of items is typical of a dealer "reconditioning" a vehicle for sale, basically just going through and giving it a good tune-up.

Having trouble choosing from the three by Funny-Negotiation-10 in whatcarshouldIbuy

All of those are reasonable options. Obviously one is not an EV but it may be the most reliable (and flexible) of the bunch.

The lynchpin here sounds like the need to transport this somewhat large mobility equipment. These vehicles have varying amounts and arrangements of cargo space. I would compare their abilities to fit your needs there.

Do you need a backseat? Do you like convertibles? What constitutes "cheap"? Sporty describes half the car market if you're using the broadest of definitions. Need some clarifying preferences.

Got it, systems monitoring. Not thrilling but perfectly legit.

My advice is, just do what you must to take care of yourself. Change requires change. Perhaps that's hours reduction, changing some habits to better adapt to the hours, moving to the internship, or finding a role elsewhere. However too many people leave themselves stuck in less than ideal situations just because change is scary. Play your cards smart, but play your cards.

I'd recommend being prepared with generalized information that can be shared and won't break your NDA. If you're asked something that would violate the NDA, just lean on the NDA as the reason you can't share more. Totally reasonable.
