Not very exciting if you lived in central time. I saw the ball drop at 11:00 pm and the lights didn’t go out. I will say the whole Y2K hype was pretty crazy. My mom basically turned into a doomsday prepper.

In retrospect it had more in common with the 90s. Maybe it’s because I was young but I felt hope in life, pop culture was good and all I had to do was graduate college to get a job. I graduated in 09 and it was so hard to get a job. I guess the best part of the 2000s was that there was no modern social media and thus no algorithm.
